Can't decide between LG and Samsung washing machines

Hope someone can help I'm looking to buy a new washing, I have shortlisted 2 from Costco
Model numbers are
LG F4Y511GBLA1 or
Samsung Bespoke AI™ Series 5+ WW11BBA046ABEU
Both machines are £549.99

LG has a Direct Drive motor which has been highly commended over Samsung due to less moving parts and so lower risk. How accurate that is I can't say, but I'm happy with my LG and the long warranty for the motor. (edited)

On the assumption that LG hasn't attempted to self-dissolve its retail arm in the last few months but Samdung has:
the safer bet is probably to run with LG,
with any purchase funded by direct payment to a vendor using some element of UK regulated credit.

Why not go with a manufacturer that is known for making decent washing machines such as Hotpoint maybe?
Hotpoint doesn't make TVs or laptops or phones.
They stick to what they know best, kitchen appliances.

Yes and they do it very poorly.

I bought a Samsung washing machine last year which failed after 1 wash, after weeks of being messed around with the repair, I told them that I wanted a replacement, which they sent out but was also faulty.

I bought a Samsung a couple of years ago after consulting Which?

According to them, Samsung and LG fared roughly the same for long-term reliability, but the Samsung ones were much better at actually washing things.

Their real favorites were Bosch and Miele but they cost a fortune.
