ISO fix car seat removal

I'm looking at getting an ISO fix car seat for my 3 year old grandson in my car. I have a Citroen C4 Picasso and it has the correct fixtures.

However, my daughter says that their ISO fix car seat is really hard to release (she has one of the heavier and bulkier ones, with a swivel base - I'll be looking at buying a simpler and lighter design). I'm just wondering if anybody else has found them hard to release? I think it is the push bottons on the side that she is talking about.

I found in my last car, if I released the catch on the door side first and then leant over to release the side near the centre of the car it was always difficult, I think it's because when you release the first side the seat sits slightly angled so the slide catch is harder to operate, especially bent over in the back of a car. So, I always lean over to release the one nearest the centre of the car first and then stand up and release the one nearest the door and it seems to be much easier! Maybe it's worth her trying thay first.

Yeah, I’ve got a bulky one with a swivel base too. They aren’t too bad to take out but I find that if you’ve released one side which is usually easy, you might need to put your weight on the chair a bit in order to release the other side as it does slightly adjust the angle as mentioned above. Once you’ve done it a few times you’ll get the hang of it.

The good news is that if they are hard to move, they are probably much safer (also rear facing is important for as long as possible)
