Landline phones

I'm looking for a good cordless landline phone and would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t spend too much as it won’t be any used to you when the traditional line network is closed down within a couple of years

There are adapters to convert them to plug into your router.

Typically any device having the undefeatable trueCall / "Call Guardian" virtual assistant call blocker,
because that feature is near-essential compared to other lesser blocking systems
    and
it is not available with basic models - so generally the handset will be decent.

Typical models having that feature are "BT Advanced" & "BT Premium"; random examples Amazon-Renewed:
single £29.99 or twin £49.99 or trio £64.99
    keepa.com/

Near 10 years old 90secs vid describes the concept:

Or can obtain that functionality via corded £22.99 BT 2600 Amazon-Renewed:
    keepa.com/
and cobble with any other corded / cordless system.

We have the BT Advanced and it's worth it's weight in gold! Though would probably go for premium now for colour screen. 99.999% scam calls don't come through.

Pretty much anything made by Gigaset should serve you very well. Good cordless range, good call quality, loud volume on both the earpiece and ringer, and most of their mid to higher end models all have things like call blockers, VIP lists, Silent times, built in voicemail and such.

Can't beat a good Dect handset - I got mine out of Argos - each handset uses 3 AAA rechargeable batteries which came in handy as they needed replaced recently.
I just checked they don't sell my model any more I went for the quad pack.
