Cord cutting TV

I can't find an answer to this ...

I've been thinking about canceling TV package and landline phone. Just have cable internet for £30pm.
I was thinking of using now TV and discovery+ subscription along with netflix and prime TV.
Maybe IPTV thrown in.
Mix it up a bit over the range of services.
Will that work for us?
Saving maybe £30pm or more and a better user experience.
Anyone tried something similar?
Looking online at cord cutting by switching to streaming services, I could not find any useful advice.

Thanks

Do you need all 4 services at once? Get one or two for a month and then cycle between them

This is the way. Sub to one per month and rotate them once you have finished.

I did this and and i was fine with just netflix through turkey and a fire stick with a not so legal package.
However i ended up going back to full package from virgin when an unbelievable package came up.
Now get 1gig bb, biggest tv package, sports, movies, netflix and 2 tv boxes for £47 per month.
Once this package ends ill be straight back to bb only again

If you want to save money, dont get everything at once. Find what you want to watch then sign up to that, after you have watched everything and whatever else and your bored of it, then move to whatever streaming service interests you next. I do a cycle example. Disney >prime> now tv> etc and by the time I've gone to nowtv and then back to Disney, you will find they have added new content same with prime etc. If you have multiple streaming platforms and nothing interests you in one, you will be using one that does for a while but you will be paying for all. also sign up to now when they give offers I.e £1 or £3 a month for 3 months. Rinse and repeat. By the time next offer comes, they will have some new content. (edited)

Online legal streaming ....VPN unless UK.
    Tubi US (don't use adblocker)
Pluto UK & US versions. US includes British shows you would have to pay for here.
    YouTube US version includes movies
Raiplay. Italian tv. Inc sports that Sky want to charge for
    Peacock, US some free selection
    Xumo
Plex. Host your own media & lots of free channels
Austrian tv channel, again sports you'd be charged for

IPTV will have everything you need, if you decide to go down that route. Technically wouldn't need any of the others (edited)

I only pay 15£ month for virgin bb on a retention deal, I pay for iptv and use a couple of downloaded apps for movies and tv series, nothing else needed

Answer is to try it out. I did not too different. Used to have Sky Entertainment (which included Netflix and Discovery+), we used to have a pretty good deal running about £22, but they wouldn't go below £28. Cancelled Sky around November.

Netflix Standard runs us £10.99. Stayed without Discovery+ for a bit. Got again via the Vodafone 6 months free, but the basic plan is pretty cheap.

We've managed to avoid NOW but we'll need it back again for House of the Dragon... A deal makes it reasonable but if you want boost this raises the price...

Problem is if I got all these services at once I would be starting to hit the price of Sky anyway - so overall you have to take a punt at trying them not simultaneously, if you can. If you just buy them all at once, you'll spend as much as your TV service...

I do have IPTV as well but stick to it for sports. I try to be legit when it's reasonable pricing but sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do. (edited)

What do you like to watch that may be difficult to find on any streaming service? In my personal experience, once you get over the withdrawal symptoms, it isn't difficult to forget that "special" show.

Discovery plus programs like gold rush.

Guess the answer is to give it a try

cut the cord years ago, before it was fashionable. no regrets. The 30 day rolling monthly contracts are great. you can sub for a month or 2 then sub to something else etc is budget is tight.

On the negative side, i have more entertainment options than ever before and yet the least amount of spare time to watch. my kids dont know how good they have it. (edited)
