Doorbell long range

So after trying various extenders, powerline and very long range boosters we have given up with wifi video doorbells as no matter what we try we have a delay which makes for a bad video and impossible to speak to anyone. We have electric gates and we need to put a doorbell on the outside of the gates so we just need something that isn't wifi. It probably doesn't help that we are in a rural area with no phone signal unless we wifi call and the fibre broadband is notoriously slow and we even struggle to stream Netflix at times....

We need at least 4 receivers as I'm partly deaf so need to place these throughout our bungalow so I have more chance of hearing them (as well as in the detached garage so if I'm in the garden I can hear someone ringing the doorbell).

Can anyone recommend a (not wifi) doorbell that has a good range on it, that's loud and has at least 4 receivers please.

We can have it wired on the gate post wall or it can be battery as we have electric there. Inside it would be great if the receivers were plug in otherwise we will need lots of batterries for at least 4 receivers.

Thanks

We haven't got an ethernet outside. We actually tried the Reolink on wifi with various boosters, powerline etc and there was such a delay rendering it useless which is why we ARE NOT considering wifi video doorbells! (edited)

    Hi Rachel,

I trust all is well with you. I still have you down as favourite from all those holidays posts, and you helped me out some 10 years ago now with a Peru trip, my how time flies by.

Anyway your issue with your gates etc. You might want to give these a go from Tecknet, which I have dotted around the house. They state a Wireless range of 400m and the door push does not require batteries. As for the sounders, you plug them in where needed. I choose the thru plug type as i didn't want to lose any plugs, but they do other I believe too.

They have offers quite often, so let me take a look at any discount codes first before you do opt to try them out.

Ah thanks! Haven't done travel deals in a while too busy travelling myself in between a house renovation! Just got back from almost a month long trip to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia and have Morocco, Mauritius and Reunion booked for later this year and hopefully a couple more planned.

Thanks, I think one of the wifi issues is we have foil backed insulation so it hampers the wifi as well as crap fibre generally! I think I'm going to go for a basic non wifi no PoE set on Amazon. Perhaps a couple of these

Cheap and cheerful and always got Amazon returns if all else fails! (edited)
