TOTUM / .ac.uk email account for discounts

Hi,firstly apologies in advance if there is a live discussion - I did try and search however there was nothing recent.
Any tips / hacks for getting a cheap .ac.uk account, or a regular (not PRO) Totum card? Just had my Amazon Prime renew, and was shocked as this is the first year I've been charged the full whack. Ouch!!

I renewed mine using the Pro card, they made no fuss about it so I’d just give it a go. Otherwise, don’t think there is any way to get a Uni address without literally starting a course these days.

Renewed Amazon Prime Student with Totum Pro?
Totum "Pro" has not been a qualifier for Prime Student for quite some time - but not beyond impossible for a Pro membership to be accidentally classed as acceptable by a busy / distracted / ignorant / CBA Amazon CS rep.

did you try the Totum Pro to NUSx workaround - where NUSx qualifies for APS?
I posted it some time ago but don't recall any recent conf of success.

Nothing recent about getting a cheap .ac.uk account? You mean nothing at all?

As for the totum one, if anything new came out, it would be all over here

Well, I did check and since this is my first forum post I'm not sure I checked in the right places...I did try and reflect this in my opening statement.
Quite sure you're making some attempt at sarcasm, in which case you obviously know there must be some posts not seen by me. I bow down to your superior intellect on this subject, and not providing any links makes you the better person (edited)

Thanks all for your input, appreciate your time. Looks like I may have to try and enrol on a cheapo course which allows me to get the required email address.
