Mobile contract offer

I have been offered a Samsung A35 5G 256GB 8GB RAM by ID Mobile as an upgrade deal from my sim only deal. £150 upfront cost, £14.99 per month 100GB data Unlimited minutes and texts (24 months contract). Total is £510. It it worth it or is there better deals available for same price? Thanks

If it's the A35 you want, then no it's not a good deal, you can get the same For £50 less as a new customer

You can get the pixel 8 for around the same price which is a much better choice with more data, or for less the 7a, the razr 40 with free headphones for a total cost of £479.87, depends what you want and if you're willing to leave id mobile

Yes I don't mind leaving ID mobile. If I can find a good deal for £15 monthly, £50 to £100 maximum upfront cost. Only need 25GB data minimum. Which website is this pixel deal? Thanks

Personally I'd always find the cash to buy the phone you want simfree and drop in a sim only on a 30 day tariff with the amount of data you 'actually' need. Why pay £15pm for 100gb when you only really need 25-30gb....

As an example I know the offer is no longer running but Smarty recently offered a 40gb rolling SIM for £5.15 per month.

Yeah there are the occasional decent contract deals around that will beat a SIM free\sim only but nothing beats the feeling of not having a 24 month contract round your neck.

In a year's time you might fancy a change of phone, easy with SIM free (edited)

How much data do you use?
How much to buy the phone on its own, whether outright or on a payment plan?
Is the phone contract the same length as the service contract? Some differ.
Do you want to be obliged to Curry's for 2 years?

I use 25 to 30gb a month, when I asked they said they don't have anything less.
The phone is approximately £380 on amazon cheapest I found.
Not sure about the 3rds question.
I wouldn't mind as long as there's a good deal

If you are not desperate, but like the Samsung, I suspect the price could drop soon.

Last year after a few months I got the A54 at £250 after cashback and trading in a cheap phone. The A34 would have been under £200. At the moment the A35/A55 are too new and there are "better" phones like the Pixel for less, once the price drops it will likely be better.

When I'm ready for a new phone most times I can find a contract that's about the same price as just buying the phone , so that's a no brainer. I then just go for a cheap sim only until I'm ready for another phone. Just look around for available offers and then speak to ID to see if they'll match them. Remember though ID offer EU roaming and not all others do.

I buy a sim free phone and take out the sim only deals that are posted on here.
    Love my Poco F2 Pro.
Dropped at least 50 times now and still works fine.
    On my 3rd Lebara deal.
6 months at £0.99 for 12gb data and unlimited calls & texts this time.
Must it be a Samsung phone.
    Look at MrSwitch deals.
    Lots of great deals.
