Gavin and Stacey: Much-loved BBC comedy's last-ever episode to air on Christmas Day

After rumours a few months ago, the last ever episode, of Gavin and Stacey, has now been confirm by the writers.

The last-ever episode of BBC sitcom Gavin and Stacey will be shown on Christmas Day this year, it was revealed on Friday.

Co-writers James Corden and Ruth Jones shared a picture of the completed script on Instagram which is titled ‘The Finale’.

The comedy originally ran over three series between 2007 and 2010 but returned for a one off Christmas special in 2019, which left viewers on a cliffhanger.

On December 25 this year, fans might finally find out if Smithy and Nessa (Corden and Jones’s characters) get together and if the details of the notorious secret “fishing trip” will come out.

I find Corden an irritating sod. However I like him in Gavin & Stacey, so I'll watch it.

Never watched it. Didn't know who Corden was until he was on Sky as a sports quiz show host but I really did not like him so stopped watching.

Never subscribed to this.... Over hyped mush.
Corden has burnt any bridges he may have built, due to becoming a despicable human being.
No doubt the prolls will lap it up and love him again
