Good deal but the 2 x 15 mins sessions are much better. It breaks it up and also with the 50 lap race, it ends when the winner crosses the line.
So if u have a pro in the race, you might only get 35 laps!!

That’s not the 50 lap race. Discount only valid on 50 lap races.

50 laps for the winner. If you slow you get less laps…

Great fun , but 50 laps is quite tiring if you are a beginner or not very fit .. I haven't done karting for a number of years now but from what i remember the first driver that finishes the 50 laps the race would end and not everyone would in fact do the 50 laps if they were a much slower driver ,, but it might be different nowadays.
    gravy_davey's avatar
Sounds about right. Each time you are lapped is 1 less lap you get

Go watch that video where that lad has his fingers chopped off from a minor crash and you will probably never go karting again

We have 8 each for a reason.

Not done go karting before. How is the experience from a beginner's perspective (with a driving license if that helps )
    girag1847's avatar
Go karts handle a bit differently to driving normal cars , if it is your first time you can start the first few laps at a speed you are comfortable then gradually speed up once you get familiar with the track and the kart handling ! if you drive the whole race at a gentle speed you will just get bored before the end ( obviously with experience you'll get faster and faster and your laps times will improve) ... as with the danger factor unfortunately once in a while you get a person turn up for the race who have no experience in Karting but because they have an M3 parked in the car park they think they are qualified to race like Lewis Hamilton and inevitably cause an accident on the track ... but most of the time the experienced stewards spot these people immediately and stop them to have a word with them ..

Who now’s where is the biggest track please ?
I already done 50 laps in Warrington, but maybe there is other recommendations?
    Funder's avatar
Birmingham and Warrington are the longest tracks at 1000m each.

Doesn’t work Dunstable…. You need to list where the voucher code is applicable as it is clear it doesn’t work for the majority of their sites.

Me and the lads did a mini grand Prix at Liverpool a few years ago and it is very physical after the initial 20 minutes. Hot and sweaty in the helmet and as soon as you lift thevisor for some fresh air your eyes sting from the fumes! Great fun though!
    lukeDduke's avatar
    Had the same experience

    Very tiring experience

    Good fun tho

If you've not been Go Karting before, 50laps is really quite physical, If you really push yourself. Really great fun and really good if the track has your lap times on display.

Teamsport has an app with live timing too. I think only members can see historic data though (best time of day, week, month, etc).

I'm far too fat, old and unfit but I did 2 x 15 minus sessions with my lightweight son at Bristol. It was 2 x 15 mins session and got about 17/18 laps in each session

Sounds easy, but it was pretty hard. Doing 30-35 minutes straight might finish me!
  14. RAH112's avatar
It gets boring after a couple of laps in my experience
    Deedie's avatar
thank god we aint all you then
  15. james.marshallRG8's avatar
    Only 8am available
    1985ak47's avatar

Bargain. Used to be double the price, or more, ten years ago.

Can recommend the Leeds track. 580m 45s laps. Very physical, you can go flat out everywhere except end of the straight. I enjoy holding my breath as I curve into the tunnel, hope I miss the bumps and get the chicane right on the exit. 40mph. 50 laps would mean I had to consider my stamina. Usually one decent crash each race. Keep your head screwed on, it is still a Motorsport.

I hope all the tracks aren't the same as the one in the video, the only way to pass is to barge the person in front out of the way.

9.15AM on a Bank Holiday Monday?. Are they joking.

Ill be spending some quality time in bed, they will have to pay me to come down and race at that time ! (edited)

How much are the disposable balaclavas?

And is there any other costs i.e suit rental, helmet rental, etc? (edited)
    marcin84's avatar
You will get the overall suit and helmet included in the price, I'm not sure how much for balaclavas. Good price and fun guaranteed.

TIP: don’t try to read a magazine whilst you’re going round

    Great news for midlanders though.

Not all sites offer the 50x laps sessions. Eg. London Docklands no option.
    ChampEon's avatar
That one does a 40 lap session instead because the track is 800m which is a lot bigger than at other branches. So it kind of evens out (edited)
