Have one, for the DIY jobs. Love it...

A really nice tool, especially considering the price point. Plenty of power to drive 50mm brads through plywood and I've used it to put skirting board all around a room and the 5Ah battery is still reading 3/4.
It is a heavy and tricky to wield in tight spaces. Also if you spend too long trying to line up your shot with the nose depressed and the light goes off, it won't fire for safety reasons so you need to lift it up and try again.
Overall though, I think it's a great bit of kit that greatly improves the satisfaction of assembling woodwork.

This is my one Ryobi tool, Makita one in absurdly expesnvie. Have to buy a battery, but these are really good for framing, sheds and skirting boards

Agreed. I bought into the ryobi ecosystem a while ago and they are more than adequate for a DIYer.

have Titan nailer/stapler which does 32mm 18G brad nails for £40, was considering this, but will look at something that can do proper nails for fencing, shed etc

Keen on this. Anyone know if it's required/advised to have a Ryobi battery? Or will DeWalt work?

I have purchased this with the intention of using DeWalt batteries with it. I have ordered an adapter, which will allow me to do this. Reading on the Internet, it seems many people do this.
