Got this the other day for about £15. Stuck it in an old Asus 555l and re-installed windows 10. Boot up down from 3 minures to 15 second. Well worth trying at this price if you have an old slow laptop.

Why when everything else is so expensive are SSD's the cheapest they've ever been? Not that I'm complaining obviously.

Edit: perhaps more helpfully, drops in demand due to global economic factors, and manufacturers can only cut production so much before the cost of maintaining fab plants sitting there doing nothing becomes prohibitive.

Which is to our benefit of course. (edited)

Discount also applies to all the other capacities on that listing it seems, only 2% but still a discount. Might be worth mentioning the other capacities available and pricing in the OP.

Honestly if I didn't already have a 120gb SSD just land for 7.99, I'd have picked this up as my NAS OS drive lol, I just can't justify sending it back and swapping though for what will largely be a read only drive and 7.99 as so cheap it was more affordable than a decent usb stick haha
