They do this offer at least a couple of times a year (usually in the spring and again in the autumn). So by the time your warranty runs out you should be able to get it then anyway.

Does this include indicator checks as most audis have an issue where they don't work

I'm a self employed mechanic for this price I'd be doing two full services, a major service isn't oil and filter and pollen filter change, fuel air not required???

I used to have an audi service plan since I bought mine new 10 years ago until last year but never again. In one of the services they insisted the exhaust is failing and need replacing at a cost of over £600. I refused as I never heard any noises from it. Six years later and it is still fine and did not need replacing (edited)

What a joke that is. 507 00 spec oil at £30 plus a MANN oil filter. Can't be much more than 40 quid tops if you DIY. That's why they are called "Main Stealers" 😁

They must have gold spanners in their toolboxes with the prices they used to charge me

Audi stealers prices are extortionate. Always go to a specialist instead.

I was lucky my windscreen water bottle was nearly full when I left my Audi in for a service. It can hold 5 litres and they charge at least £3 a litre. Fill it up before leaving your car in!

No its not. You're effectively getting one minor and one major service.

    • 1 x Oil Service
    • 1 x Oil Service and Inspection Service with Pollen Filter

Minor is just an oil change. Major is oil change plus pollen filter and inspection. For comparison VW charge £184 for a minor and £354 for a major so this is quite a saving if you're going to keep your car for a couple of years.

It's not difficult to change the oil yourself saving quite a lot even proper spec oil. Not all want to, are inclined to, have required skillset and many too lazy which is perfectly understandable. But changing the oil on an audi is very much like shaving ones Stuart McColl's (once you've done it a couple of times you'll be wondering why you didn't always do it)

True, but a main dealer Audi fsh will pay for itself when you come to sell.

If you are selling a 3 Year old car then one would expect to see a FASH. However with a 10 Year old car, you are never going to recoup the difference between Audi Service Costs and a good independent.

That's not to say Audi don't service my car, I just get them to price match the local well respected independents servicing German cars. (edited)

I remember back in the 90s when I did a stint of work for a local VAG garage.

All the oil was just standard stuff in a huge barrel, whatever they ordered that is what they got.

We were encouraged to keep cars in "top condition" so that any tyres or parts which came off could be used as part worns on cars for sale, or sold on.
  20. TokyoGhoul's avatar
Just buy a Pela 6000 for 40 quid that sucks out the old oil via the dip stick. Search on Google for the correct spec and quality of oil and MANN /Heigst /Mahle oil & Air /pollen filter.

It's soooooo easy for an able person to do.

Or if you can afford to... Buy a full electric car like I did 😁

All the best with what you decide to do

So worth it or not? I've got a 2011 Q5 with 95000 on the clock.

If you were planning to go to Audi anyway, or if you want to keep full Audi service history then yes it is worth it as the full price service plan is a fair bit cheaper than paying for the two services separately, and now you get 25% off that too.

For example, for my 3.0tdi the two services would be £425 and £240 = £665. The full price service plan is £599 but with 25% discount it’s just under £450. So in that sense it is worth it.

But on the other hand, if you can service it yourself you can get oem genuine parts for less than half that price and service it yourself.

Or you could go to an independent garage and potentially save yourself another 10% or so. But then some independent garages will charge more than the discounted Audi price.

So it all depends on your preference.

This is not really a deal, just take it to a reputable specialist for a service and will be cheaper too.
  26. GooseyGander's avatar
My local garage would charge half this price.
More importantly I trust them to do everything properly and not rip me off.

It does help to keep car value with a full Audi service history, so most newer Audi owners won't really have any option but to use the main dealers.

Decent deal I guess compared to normal ridiculous prices.
Still way too much in my opinion.

This is so dumb, over £350 for somthing anyone could do in their sleep, change oil and pollen filter! Oil would be £80 for 2 changes and a pollen filter would be 20! What a rip off!
  28. Max-Power's avatar
£374 for mine, normally £195 for the oil change, and £320 for the oil and inspection so it works out better if you service via them (which I have so far). Always told myself once I reach 80k mileage I'd go to a specialist as it'd be cheaper than Audi... choices!

Major service inc. oil, pollen filter, air filter, spark plugs, break fluid. All this for £360. Garage located 300 meters from Audi service. What if DSG oil needs changing at the time of the service with this plan?

That’s separate and costs £245 fixed price from Audi. Gearbox service and air filters, fuel filters and spark plugs etc are not included.

It literally only includes oil, oil filter and pollen filter. That’s it. Any other filters, oil or fluids, you pay for separately.

Vw group is rip off and very rude staffstay well clear

What a silly comment. You do realise that there are hundreds of dealerships within the VW group consisting of thousands of staff.

Of those thousands of people, how many have you dealt with that were rude for you to conclude people should stay well clear?

Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover. Why do people have 'em ? There's no kudos/exclusivity as anyone who can muster a couple of hundred £ a month can have a range topper.

Bangernomics - that's where the smart money goes. Won't get nicked off your drive with a relay box and doesn't matter if it gets dinged in the supermarket car park either.

Service items are changed at intervals set by manufacturer not the dealer . Unfortunately owners will want to keep the vehicle warranty intact and the dealers know that and charge accordingly.
Obviously a used VAG full of main dealer stamps + receipts will be more desirable than one with a unknown garage come sale time.
