I just came back from Side and had a wonderful time, even if the weather was a bit warmer than normal (35 to 38 degrees). The town itself is very pretty but seems to be set up to remove as much money from tourists as possible, with loads of fake goods in almost every shop. The beach in our resort was superb, nice and sandy (not the usual Turkey shingle) and the water was as warm as a bath. Antalya isn’t too far away and a day trip to the old town is worth a trip. Lots of other places to visit and things to do from there. The resort we stayed at was probably the best AI I have been to with brilliant staff (Ali Bey Resort) and we’re thinking of going back again in September as it was so nice. Lots of different nationalities there but no issues at all as everyone seemed to be decent friendly people. Not sure what the temperature will be like in November though. Don’t listen to people who say ‘Turkey, no thanks’, you can’t dismiss a whole country and its people as not worth visiting, all countries have good and bad points.

I would imagine in November the weather would be quite cool, have visited North Cyprus and Marrakech, Morocco in November and it was constantly raining / cooler day - it's a gamble but if you want warm sunshine days it is a risk, the choice is yours. (edited)

No point in going to get a tan . Wouldn't want to be cramped up in an easy jet plane for all that time either.

Went to Side in April. No Russians, lots of Germans. Prices quite high in restaurants and bars. Nice place lots of Roman ruins.
