    • We offer free standard 3-5 day delivery on all UK mainland online orders over £20.00 (ex VAT) / [24 incl VAT]
    • Orders submitted on a Saturday or Sunday will be despatched the next business day.
    • Items on backorder will be despatched as soon as they arrive back in stock.
    • Goods will be delivered by Royal Mail or a courier if the weight or value of the goods is high.

Can the hammer action be turned off to make it a normal drill?

    Yes.

Will this be OK for drilling holes in floorboards and then using it to put in the screws? Will need a couple of hundred screws.

I mean it could do it technically, but it wouldn't be fun, an impact driver would be your best bet but they're pricy.

Would be rude not to at that price.
Already have a 1000W hammer drill but always nice to have a spare just in case.

    EDIT:
I should have added this Makita hole saw kit, total £25.99 as you get free delivery.

I recently bought a discounted Lidl drill as back-up and then digging around found I had a similar drill tucked away as back-up so now I have a back-up to the back-up - when the wife complains about my selection of drills (the back-ups are out of sight) I tell her they all have different bits in them so I can do different jobs without messing around, not sure I could get away with an extra two drills, I prefer the other kinda chuck anyway...

Yet she has 20 pairs of shoes and 50 handbags.

    Ordered two, thanks to OP.

False advertising, it just bent all my nails when I whack them with the drill.

Not including VAT in listed price. I dont know if its just silly or a deliberately misleading ploy to attract buyers. I dont know who else does that. Maybe in america its more common.

I noticed that I'd messed up and edited.

Looks like a drill I exchanged @ Argos over 10 years ago, and it was only £10 then.

I got if for £5 off eBay, but it sparked like crazy first time it was used, so as it was an Argos (still bagged, like new) branded unit, I took it in to my local store.
They tested it, and replaced it, no questions asked.

Interesting idea (by crossbow) to buy 2, to get free p+p

You can add almost anything (except certain items. like oversized/heavy) to take the order total to £24 or over incl VAT to secure free delivery. (edited)

    Mine came this morning.

The drill itself is great. The handle you attach at the front, not so much.
I didn't exactly use all my strength to tighten it and the nut inside came away from the plastic, so it will now not tightet at all.
Guess I'll try to fix it with some epoxy or something.

The drill feels really well made and is actually smaller than expected, which is nice.
Will attack some walls in a few days and see how it goes.

Did you unscrew the bottom part of the handle and the nut came away separating the top part which clamps around the chuck?
