I used to use one of these daily, then i had to replace due to the rubber perishing over time. The newer one had what appeared to be cheaper rubber and it didnt last long at all. Covered me in boiling hot coffee a few times and it went in the bin. i reached out to AeroPress and they did confirm they changed supplier of the rubber parts. I'm sure other people still swear by them but i wont use it again.

Replacement plumber seals and permanent filters are all over Ebay, I replaced mine with silicon as I could taste the rubber.

Not convinced myself. Must have spent over £80 on different coffees (different grind etc) and it always comes out tasting either too strong or too weak (or too cold), watched loads of YouTube on it too and just cannot get the hang of it. It has been sitting gathering dust for the last 8 months now.

Always wanted to try but plastic is putting me off

Get one. You won’t regret it. Makes a great coffee, quickly. Obviously depends on the coffee used but i use mine every day and love it.

I rinse the filters after each use, each one ends up lasting me over two weeks. A pack of 350 therefore gets me at the very least five years of coffee, with an average of three cups a day.

Nice deal and their coffee is pretty good and freshly roasted in my experience.
I've been doing pour over for the last two years though so my aeropress is redundant - for the moment at least

FYI you can also do the pourover method using the AeroPress as well. The advantage is easy cleanup and water is evenly distributed.

Use my aeropress every day. Great piece of kit. Take a look at the James Hoffman recipe on YouTube

Mmm code generated twice in 2 different emails says expired.

Tastes very similar to my Nescafe instant roast.

Does anyone use the Aeropress upside down, so that you put the filter and cap on the top? Keeps the coffee in longer and creates a vacuum so it doesn't drip away.
    savedbythelamb's avatar
I just looked it up, here is a video of it for people who want to know how to do it.

Great piece of kit and well worth the money. Makes a quality brew. Heat

Not offering as refferrel code but for anyone who has a friend that has one like I did then they offer £5 off refferal making this cheaper.

So after purchasing and while I’m waiting. Is there an easily access ready ground coffee I can go and buy from Tesco or somewhere that does this justice or do I need to waste money buying locally ground and roasted 24ct gold plated beans?
    Easy.Action.Baby's avatar
We look out for offers on the Costa coffee ground. It’s not a patch on Rave coffee however if you can buy it for £2.50 a bag it’s good enough for our daily habit.

Not a fan of the aero press. I don’t like the taste of the coffee it produces, I’ve used various beans from supermarket, just doesn’t do it. Followed a few videos to test other methods but still don’t like the taste. Maybe it’s just me
    jumbosausage's avatar
In fairness the beans, grind and freshness you use are going to be hugely influential to taste. I'm struggling to think how the Aeropress itself could mess that up. (edited)

BARGAIN! I might just buy another!
  15. jarjarmustdie's avatar
Sounds ideal for good coffee in a campervan using gas kettle to heat water then this
  16. Bailz's avatar
Maybe daft question but can I use this to make a decent cappuccino?
    hotukdealsMD's avatar
You could use this to make the espresso part of a cappuccino, and then prepare the steamed milk foam using another method and combine the two, but the Aeropress can’t steam milk.
  17. Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
Aeropress is ok, but it certainly doesn't produce a proper espresso shot. To me, it is just another method similar to using a cafetiere. The only way to make cafe quality coffee is buy a proper grinder and proper PID temperature contolled espresso machine.

    Great deal thanks
  19. SuperMike's avatar
Good deal. I like my aeropress. More of a kerfuffle than a filter coffee maker imo but makes nicer coffee and takes less space if you have a tiny kitchen like me.
  20. weiran's avatar
Aeropress coffee is the best coffee. Beats all the fancy £500+ bean to cup machines with a very simple design.

Thanks. I’ll give a go. Any recommendations for storing the ground coffee on the go? Or any off the shelf brands that worth trying?
  22. pww1965's avatar
Lidl Sumatran and the other single origin ones are nice
  23. yeahbutitsnotfree's avatar
They will have quite a few orders off here. Let's hope it lives up to the hype.

Good deal for a great bit of kit.

Had mine for a few years now but it's ready for replacing. Would folk recommend going like for like, or instead getting a pour over?

    If pour over, any recs?
    mozbud's avatar
Clever coffee dripper might be worth a look. very easy to use and get consistent results
  27. slipd's avatar
Bodum Pour Over it is everyone is using now a days?

Heated OP, I'm due a Aero replacement!
  28. id0ru's avatar
There are other options of course and a pour over is nice but that's a totally different brew style. This however is great for work especially if you have limited options. Also takes up little space so you can pop it in your bag incase you have thieves for coworkers
  29. neoboy's avatar
Basically what I do, my work "espresso" maker
  30. Frasier's avatar
I have the Aeropress Go but would like to give the original a try. It's circa £6 for 350 filters (I'll need some soon anyway) plus a bag coffee... Tempted.
  31. HammerTime10's avatar
Use mine daily! Makes a great coffee with rave coffee
  32. nathjh's avatar
Signed up…been waiting for a code for a little while now. I’ll buy one if the code ever arrives!
    nathjh's avatar
Code turned up. Order placed. Happy days!

Took 15mins but got code through. Good deal (edited)
  34. RoyalVilla's avatar
Thanks OP, always wanted to try one of these. The discount code was emailed to me - not the FRESH15 one. I did a short quiz to get it
  35. robard's avatar
Ive been using mine for about 4 years now and recommend it to all my friends as it makes a very nice cup ... The only thing is if you like a big mug you need to keep topping it up as it filters through but still worth it. gets rid of the acidicness from the coffee .
  36. Curlychew_'s avatar
I know it’s the other end of the price scale but I’ve tried to get on with a v60 but still get consistent great results from my precision brewer (I’d hope so too

Good deal with the coffee included.

I use mine at work, usually once a day. I changed to the inverted method a couple of months ago following a few instances of pressure hot spots overcoming the paper filter.

When I use mine at work people generally say ooo a posh coffee but it takes me about the same duration as it does to brew a good cup of tea.
    Headnogood's avatar
First time I took mine to work, I couldn’t resist saying it was a pump to help with “man problems”.
  38. zdzd's avatar
Good deal, got this for £22.72 in April without the extra coffee and it works great.

    Just got thanks, Heat!
