I was tracking this for when it dropped below £800, I got impatient a couple of months back and pulled the trigger on a Neo G9 instead, but now the price has finally dropped on the AOC I thought I'd share so someone else can have what is apparently a fantastic monitor especially at this price.

5120x1440 resolution across 49" is equivalent to 2x 27" 1440p monitors

165Hz refresh rate excellent for gaming, freesync premium pro, HDMI, DisplayPort etc... It's all there 👌

If you are using as a monitor for work then good luck sharing your screen on teams

    This or Neo G9

Given the choice, Neo G9 because of the more aggressive curve (I love that) and the 'proper' HDR with the 2048 individual zone lighting...

But if you wanted to save a massive amount of money I'm sure this would be fantastic too

I have a 35" AOC AGON Ultra wide. Even with that I could always use more screen real estate for work, let alone gaming. This is a lot of monitor for the price. (edited)

does it rotate for portrait use? If so it would be a good second monitor.

I find these monitors interesting but how many games even support this resolution?

more than you think, and lots of games have modders who provide ultrawide solutions to their game.

Once you join the /ultrawidemasterrace you kind of look down on other aspect ratios lol

I have one of these. Price matched at currys last week. First impressions are it's excellent! Very good for games and the real estate for work stuff is just... wow

*edit* comes with a three year warranty too (edited)

orrrrr just get a large regular size, eg 55 or 65, then best of both worlds....just play the game using part of your screen if want "ultrawide", its identical minus the love or hated curve
