Ordering any tech from Amazon is a risk as to what you'll actually get.

This screen is larger, smaller bezels, slightly better quality.

The iPad Air was reduced to £619 on Amazon and Costco a few days ago. About £50 discount and Currys will price match the Amazon price.
How is the iPad so much cheaper than the phone ? I mean, it does all the same things with a huge screen and battery !
Because they can get away with high handset prices due to people taking out ridiculously long contracts. If iPhones could only be bought upfront, they would not cost this much to buy.

It really depends on what you do with it. I've got a 64GB mini and my daughter has a 64GB iPad 9. It's enough to download quite a few standard quality TV shows and movies and a few games. At the other end of the scale I've got a 1TB iPad Pro that I store everything media and all my iCloud photos in full resolution on. I actually think it's more critical to have better storage on your phone for recording 4K videos and taking photos where you might not have access to the internet to backup. (edited)
Yep had to go for this one ! Great price and heat added- I have the iPad Air. Swore I'd never get an ipad as thought they were overpriced, but it blew me away. I use it every day now and if it wasn't for the fact that I need my laptop for hacking consoles, I'd get rid of the laptop!

For those quibbling about 64gb ... if you have an icloud sub (I have the 2 tb plan on family sharing), 64gb is absolutely fine. I say this as someone with a 512gb iphone. So much gets palmed off to icloud and the storage management is really smart. Also, most aren't going to be using their ipad for taking pics and movies ... main use is for stuff like document editing, reading books, etc. Apple pen stuff. Usage needs usually aren't as intensive as your phone. Sure, 128gb for same price would be better, but 64gb is perfectly usable. If you don't have icloud though, I wouldn't be of that opinion.

All good. Arrived today. Had to give a code to the driver that was emailed to me from Amazon. Opened the package up while he was there. Thanks again.- Really can't decide between this and the Samsung S9FE which is now available for £330. Performance on the iPad is currently miles better but I've no doubt it will be held back by the low ram and storage within a few months.So you think something will happen in a few months

Not bad, although I wouldn’t be getting 64 GB version. I would recommend 128 GB minimum.
Don’t forget that you’ve got to include operating system updates which takes up space.
They don’t have a 128GB version, only 64GB or 256GB for a ridiculous price bump.
Good price so long as you don't get sent a crate of dog food.
