What's magic about it, is that Apple are able to convince some people to shell out £63.20, for something that costs pennies to make, that other companies would charge less than a tenner for.

It does gestures I guess. I'd rather have my Rapoo mouse which is a Logitech MX knockoff for ~£22 on aliexpress

Mac mice have always been rubbish, starting with the iMac puck 25 years ago right up to the current "magic". Honestly, for £66 you can get a really good mouse with 10 times the functionality that will work with your Mac.

This is widely regarded by all as absolute garbage, in every way.

Agreed! Poor quality device for the money. May have a slightly better opinion if you could charge and use at the same time. Voted cold.

As a fanboy as I am, I don't know why people would want to own this mouse...

Of course please ignore me if you are a true fanboy.

Put the charge port underneath it so it can't be used while charging
    Is that a good idea?
Doesn't matter we're apple and people will buy it. (edited)

It truly is a terrible design idea to have the charging port on the bottom. I keep them in the cupboard for back up and use logitech keyboards and mice now.

Other than looking good and being made of nice materials with fairly solid tracking, I don’t think there is anything decent about these (they are too flat, not ergonomic and have sharp edges), there are a few sitting in the drawer at work because we’ve had them and others have swapped them for Logitechs or other brands. I am surprised they still sell for this much? Usually can find them used for £20 on various sites.

I have one. Had no issues with it other than not being able to use it whilst charging but battery lasts a long time and charges quickly. Gesture controls are good and fits nicely in my palm, its light and of course it looks nice lol

I took ages to buy one as read bad reviews, I think they are great, they last about 2 months between charges easily, the only draw back is they a bit sharp round edge and sometimes rubs my hand.

I know this mouse gets a lot of hate, but i use it daily and love it! the free scrolling in design apps etc is flawless. The shape fits my hands fine & i have large hands, the only stupid part is the charging on the bottom of it!

luckily at work i still have the one that takes batteries so its easy enough to swap them out, at home i try to remember to charge it but have a spare cheapo mouse to use for when i inevitably forget.

As someone who also uses this daily for work in a lot of design programs(photoshop/illustrator etc), I actually hate the scrolling on this mouse.

The fact that there's no clear indication of where the scroll surface is means I'm always scrolling in different dialogue boxes when I go to scroll down/up and end up scaling things up or down by mistake and I don't always realise until something feels 'off' when I think I've aligned something

I have one of the original versions of this mouse (got in 2011) that sensibly used batteries. It actually still works fine (hardly used), but the ergonomics have always been a nightmare.

MX series mouse is the best for macos.

A quick question. Is there any other mouse that can use swipe actions on Mac OS like Magic Mouse?
    deleted1945554's avatar
I very much doubt it unless it's some cheap knock off which doesn't serve any useful purpose.

The only alternative is the Trackpad and I like hot corners. (edited)
