Another very good offer here on a Bosch drill. This one is a very nice price point on the cordless PSB 1800, which comes with a couple of batteries and a case. Always nice to get two batteries, as they're not cheap to buy on there own at all.

It's a good price for the drill.

However, it's little more than a screwdriver/wood drill.

If you need a drill for masonry or brick work it won't cut it.......that smiling chap in the picture will still be drilling that hole in the brick in another 5 minutes with sore arms and a nearly dead battery.

Had one of these for several years. Never failed on any job, masonry and brickwork included.
    Battery lasts for ages.

I've had one of these for several years & it's still going well.
Admittedly I like my Bosch Professional better, but the green one is fine as well.

The major annoyance is the green ones take the PBA batteries. I need another PBA battery for use on my Bosch hedge trimmer.
I've seen loads of good offers on the professional batteries, but none on the PBA batteries.

So if you buy Bosch green, get at least 2 batteries, as in this deal. (edited)

These newer ones aren't a patch on the earlier ones. My first one was up to anything I threw at it until it finally burnt out last year. The one that I had in waiting for that sad day (from an Amazon deal too good to miss) is so disappointing I almost always grab one of my other drills instead.

Bosch still ships this with widdly little batteries that you have no idea what their charge level is without popping one into a tool with an indicator (and a fair number don't have one).

I still use my Bosch green tools and some are very good, but I'm not buying more and they are being replaced with other brands or the Pro kit as they die.

Very good deal, had one for years which has sustained a lot of abuse

Mine's on its way out again. I don't think these are made as well as they used to be. I've got a whole bunch of batteries for it though, from having to buy a new one every other year (after very little use, I must add) so I'm dealing with the sunk-cost fallacy

They come with a 3 year warranty if you register. Having said that, I had an issue with mine and they collected it and sent it back without fixing the issue - they said it was fine! At least collection and returns are free so worth a try

so which one is better for daily use ? this one or the 12v pro version? now they are same price... thx

12v Professional can cope with pretty much anything you need - I've had the 12v-15 since 2017 and just last weekend drilled 80 6mm holes for 50mm screws into brick with it. As long as you use a good quality bit the Pro 12v range will always be a better investment if you don't care about sharing batteries with hedge trimmers etc.

Worth it to me for the two batteries and the charger, I have all this stuff and always need a supply of batteries.
