Does this have a roller for stripes? If not, can a roller be added? Woke up today about to do the first mow and the flymo died so now need to get a new one and I think it’s between this and the flymo chevron which does stripes

This is the same as a Qualcast one (different body). The design is old as the hills and yes it does indeed have a roller but it’s only a lightweight plastic one so not very effective. The cutting width is narrower than it looks but cutting performance is pretty good (with a sharp blade) and excellent at grass collecting. (edited)

I have one of these. The handle power switch is the weak point. Replaced twice so far.

Mine has failed too. And it is a special Bosch switch, rather than something generic and cheap…

Not sure if its good or not but I went with the 44cm aldi ferrex lawnmower for 99 pounds (103 or so with delivery) as I am not picky about a roller and to me the bigger the better.

It’s narrower than you expect but very robust and plenty of spare parts unlike the Aldi one. You pays your money and you takes your choice.

Non local to mean so got curry's to price match on line, used my companies perks at work and got for just over £80.

How does this work please, do currys give you a code to apply?

    Thanks

I have an older version of this and although I only have a small 100m2 lawn it's been going strong for over 5 years with no trouble or servicing. Totally recommend it to anyone.

Bought this the other day with trade discount to replace a new and completely useless Flymo. The grassbox on the Bosch is ridiculously flimsy, but it's a different beast from the Flymo - cuts well, doesn't struggle, easy to adjust. Brilliant for the price

    Agree with that.

Stick some duck tape round the grass box - it's enough to stop it popping open as it gets older. They last years

That's what I was thinking, a small niggle that I'm happy to work around with if it happens.

    Link maybe..?

I own this and have a really large lawn. I tried my neighbour's Spears Jackson at £200 and this one outperformed the cutting.

Good mower, have a similar one which has been serving me well. Recommended

Mine must be faulty then (37) I find it underpowered compared to old gen Bosch.. EU got em!!

    Nice product.
I brought a Bosch Rotak 32R Electric Rotary Lawnmower for £55 on Amazon spring sale. (edited)

Bought this model 20 years ago and have only just needed to replace it, really great build quality

Bought this one on Amazon prime few years ago and it won't work if there was moisture on the grass (wet). Bought a Flymo last year and works perfectly. Bosch is just gathering dust in the garage.

Have to disagree with you, I went from a Qualcast hover type mower to this and this wins hands down even on mildly wet grass (were top layer looks dry but underneath it's still wet like). Maybe your setting the cut depth too low?
