Bought a Cookworks kettle for the works canteen about two years ago. Heavily used and now battle-worn it’s still performing as good as the day it was bought. Heat to OP.

    Very cheap so voted hot.

My own view is that plastic and toaster are two words that don't belong together.

However most toasters nowadays seem to be made of more plastic than metal.
    Cheaper I assume.
    Toasters are also too bulky.

My old 4 slice toaster is all metal
(except handle on slider) and is also way slimmer than current ones.
Why don't they make quality goods anymore? (edited)

Unfortunately there are safety concerns over plastic kettles leeching harmful chemicals into the water. Google it if you are worried.

I bought the yellow kettle when on offer(cant recall the exact price) so if my estranged spouse decided to come back to the jointly mortgaged property that she moved out of there would be less chance she would want to take it away due to the lovely colour. She took toilet rolls last time. The joys of divorce.

Kettle works great and I love the colour. Good buy. (edited)

For a few pounds extra you can buy a metal one.
Probably the simplest risk to avoid out of the many that exist.

My cookworks toaster has last about 1.5 years, in the past week it’s started smoking once turned on. Going to upgrade myself to a Dualit now. Good price though
