Custom Ryzen 5 3600/16GB DDR4/1TB SSD/2060 6GB/W10/B

#POSSIBLE WORTHY INVESTIGATION POST#

£400 for a 2060 / 3600 aint to shabby in my book, 100% worthy of an investigation.

"comparable to some Facebook reselling old PC's and their prices, ^ thats amazing. haha.

Key: 14 Days distance selling regs, so if its rubbish, just turn up at store and ask for your money back.
so great for local people.

worthy post, any one local?. in town tomorrow? - get us a picture, worst case we can have a laugh over it.

When buying this type of gear second-hand, how much cheaper should used gear be vs new? I'd say the saving should be 60% or better.

If new, the CPU is 70, RAM 30, SSD 45, a better GPU (5700- and this could be ex-mining) 150, case 25, MB 50, PSU 50. Windows keys cost almost nothing. A second hand PC should only be considered if it represents a massive saving over a new build unless it has extraordinary circumstances (someone you know bought it, and has to get rid of it almost immediately down to financial troubles, say) and you have first hand awareness of its provenance.

It gets worse- if this was a shop build, PSU and other components will be rock bottom. And the punter may be dumping it for reliability reasons that may only show up across continuous use (ie., it will turn on and seem to work fine, but have mysterious issues across longer use).

Totally disagree. It comes with a 2-year warranty and I could almost guarantee that you won't see any noticeable difference in performance compared to it being new.

£400 for a decent 1080p gaming pc is a pretty good deal.

That doesn't sound bad at all for 400 quid!

Not sure where you buying a 5700 2nd hand for £150. Average on eBay is around the £180

To build that pc new is around £630 so 37% saving and 24 month warranty

Despite the savings I can’t trust CEX, a lot of their PC gear has been shagged out mining hardware. I’ve got lucky a few times in the past but I usually do whatever I can to avoid them.

How can you tell if that is the case? I have a PC arriving from them next week. Thanks

I know this is expired but avoid buying a pc from cex if you're getting it delivered. They'll have you waiting a whole week before telling you it's already been sold if it's a really good deal, I bought a couple 2060 builds for like 350-400 that never turned up. Did it to me 3 times over the Xmas period

This happened to us, bought a PC from Cex that they then couldn't locate after a week or so. That's why I took a chance and went to look at this one. Fingers crossed seems good so far.

Bought this for my son. it seems in good condition. Looks tidy. The cooler is a bit loud under load, but Google Search suggests these wraith coolers are noisy. He's not worried about noise as long as it's working correctly. Will see how it performs over the next few days.

pretty bios update it to support the 5800x3d trade in the 3600 and rtx 2060 to any gpu and you’ve got a good machine. wonder if it voids the warranty
