Will this monitor be any good for use with a MacBook Pro and work from home with a pc? I’m looking for something that has clear definition but I get confused with the specs

Depends on how you have your setup.
If you have the text quite small it may be an issue with this being 1080p/FullHD (it's aimed at gamers more than office work where the lower resolution doesn't matter THAT much - though some people still claim it's awful for gaming).

You might be better off with a 1440p 60/75Hz IPS screen (maybe a 100Hz if there's any bargains around).
Text will be sharper at that res and it sounds like that's what you'd prefer.

I should have some decent non-gaming 27" 1440p monitors in my Amazon wish list, I'll see if there's anything there at a reasonable price. (edited)

its solid advice, however this is exceptional value if this is a size/resolution you are happy with (edited)

I bought this one on BF for around the same price and I was positively surprised. Really excellent monitor for the price. If I had the space I would buy two more to have the triple monitor setup

Thanks for reporting. Should be okay now.

Damn, got all excited then realised it was only 1920x1080

Great for gaming, but 1920x1080 desktops on a 27" are just painful.

Does anyone know if this is any good for gaming on xbox series s and nintendo switch or should I go for something with higher resolution?

Would be interested to find people's opinion on this too

anybody have any recommendations for a reasonably price 32" monitor use for office work? Don't need mega refresh rates or ridiculous stuff. Finding £179 AOC options on amazon with QHD resolution.

Great monitor. I have some very new dell monitors from work and the blacks on this compared to those is night and day.

I bought one of these at the last deal for 129 as well , does the job , but not happy with the colours , even after hours of fine tuning I could only get it to a just about acceptable level, main issue being the dynamic range , either too bright and faded or you missing details in the dark , Im not unhappy with it at this price point , but it is a budget monitor

It's an IPS panel. Contrast will never be good with them unless they're dual layer. Even FALD ips is bad.
