I topped up at night and was there the next day. went shopping at sainsburys today and received a £10 top up and free sim voucher. so looks like I'll get £20 more credit with the double top ups free (unless you count the milk I bought).

    you seem confused.

top up £40 get £40 free of which £75 can be psn credit. hence
"if you were to top up 40 you would get 35 free psn credit"

I didn't realise it could be used from Sainsbury's though so thank you for that info. My son also uses mobile credit for Xbox too now as they have been doing the same thing as PSN for a few weeks now.

How do you use credit for the xbox? I know how for the playstation.

Topped up with £50, just waiting on credit.

Sainsbury's max top up for PSN is £30 per month, won't let me add any more, comes up with a message saying, your network provider won't allow mobile payments of more than £30 per month.

You call the sainsburys phone number and i think it's option 3 to subscribe to a rolling bundle. I'm still waiting on mine coming

I received a SIM I ordered online and it says 'activate and top up by April 15th and we'll double your first top up', so looks like they've extended the promotion.

I can't believe this isn't hotter. I've done 3 sims for £90 giving me effectively £180 of credit after the iou credit kicks in. as it stands it's £165 for £90. that's me sorted for ps+ for the next year and Bloodbourne preordered with £80 to spare. flaming hot imo.

The plan is, i need to get 12 month psn subs and buy a download only copy of GTA5 or the new battlefield from the PSN store. I am thinking the followingTop up £30 on sim 1 and get £55 credit (as 10p text) - use this for the 12 month subs for £40, leaves me with £15Top up £25 on sim 2 and get £40 credit (again 10p text) use this for 1 of the game with my £15 left over, normally £55 (not checked yet)And just leave the last card. Leave £4.90 on each sim (might use it to donate to charity text numbers)Does this sound ok? Just want to make sure just in case i am missing something obvious ?

sounds about right but with £25 you can get £45 credit with £4.80 left over (max £30 per psn top up to 2 top ups)

so for your £55 you get a total of £100 and 2 sims with over £4 credit left over. You could just top up one with £50 and get total of £95 credit (that £40 ps+ and £55 left over) so if the game is £55 might just want to do that

I'm not sure why I've added £165 this month.
  18. deleted1107615's avatar
Regarding the double credit offer, I believe the offer closed yesterday, so anyone now getting a SIM doesnt qualify. But anyone that had previously bought a sim online and qualified for the offer can still top up for the first time and get the double credit, provided they do it in the next few weeks.

just got a text this morning saying i can have £1 free credit if i reply to the text with yes, which i did, then got a text saying the £1 will be credited within 24 hours, not sure if this is the borrow a £ offer or a different offer, i only turned that phone on Tuesday, might be worth popping this sim back into your phone for a bit. i have £9.76 left on my phone, when the pound goes on i will top up psn, will post on here if it goes through. dont know why it would not work.

How does credit on a SIM get used on PSN store?
  21. XSerenityX's avatar
Can it be used with PSN store? I really didn't think it could when my son last tried it. If I remember rightly it is only EE including Orange and T-Mobile, Vodafone Three, and O2. Can anyone confirm Sainsbury's can be used for PSN?
  22. Questionablebruh's avatar

I have used Sainsbury's credit for PSN store. The only issue is that you have to send a text from the phone to recieve a code and that the credit goes on in options of £5 credit on the store.

So for a £10 credit, you would only be able to top up £5 because you had used some of the other £5 sending a text. It might of changed but sending a text used to be the only option to send credit to the store.

So, you can't really get the most out of this deal then? I.E. according to what some are saying, if you put in £20 and then receive £20 credit, free, you can only put in £35 of that £40 total, due to the text cost. Yes?
  25. acholmes2000's avatar
so essentially you can still get a bargain as if you were to top up 40 you would get 35 free psn credit? if so I think its a very good deal!
  26. bren26's avatar
The obvious answer is to top up by 50p or £1 extra to cover the cost of the text assuming psn works in £5 denominations.

Who is "they?" I can't see anyone replying to anyone else in this thread about £40 top-up for £40 free.
  33. XSerenityX's avatar
Does the top up promotion have to be on a sim ordered from a certain date or will a new one I already have work for the promotion? I ask as its saying I have already had 3 sims and won't give me anymore.
  34. imdurc's avatar
Anyway, if you need a phone, putting in so much is great. But, if you already have a phone and simply want to use this for psn credit, it's better to keep the amount small, i.e. 20 in and 20 for free = £35 psn credit and a few pounds on a secondary phone. Handy. Thanks OP.
