£14.99 one off payment!!
(Please stop editing this it is not £14.99 a month it's a one off £14.99 payment for a year to argos when you buy the sim). Thankyou

Free to collect in many argos stores or £3.99 for postage.

For £14.99 you get 500mb of data a month for a year.

I think this is a fair deal to keep a tablet or mifi going for a year all in one go. Its less than half the price of the old t-mobile 6month web hack and official.

If you are only going to use less than 300mb a month you might do better to get a three data freedom sim (200mb a month free and 1p mb over that). If you want a gb a month you might do better with one of the three 12 months 12gb sims posted here for about £25.

If you use the 500mb in a month it will stop but I think you can buy a top up somehow if you really wish for the rest of the month.

£2 100MB
£5 300MB
£10 1GB
£15 2GB
£20 (Extra: double speed 4G) 4GB
£30 (Extra: double speed 4G) 10GB

£15 for a year of very light data use isn't bad.

Too many mod and editors on here change posts without actually looking at the deal, it's a disgrace. When you try and contact the moderators about it they claim no one has changed anything that they can see. Whoever the one is who have to put "poss" before every mention of cashback is a fking cnt.

whoah there, the mods are, I assume all volunteers and without them this place would crumble pretty quickly, you might want to tone it down a bit because mods are people too!

Sorry I think an editor must have misread it and changed my title to read £14.99 a month. I'm pretty sure its only £14.99 for the year so I have changed the title back and tried to accentuate the point. (Unless I'm the one misunderstanding in which case I'm going to look pretty silly)

Like it'll matter for 500mb worth

Means access to more transmitters and therefore better national coverage - e.g. 4G is often in the middle of nowhere now as it is easier to roll out than 3G. So not just about speed.

500mb a month for 12 months for a one payment of £14.99. Sounds good to me

Maybe some are misunderstanding the offer??? A quick scan of the title to see 500mb a month and then £14.99 in bold → 500MB per month @ £14.99 per month oO...

The actual deal seems good to me.

That's alright, we all know the Hulk gets very angry occasionally and can't control his anger, we're all very appreciative you didn't smash the place up

There seems to be some rubbish posted in here. Frankly it is a tragedy that this got iced! Appreciate that it was a mistake, but surely the counter (both time & heat) should be reset if there is a material change - too many deals get heat off incorrect detail & this once got wrongly iced off it.

just got the sim and put it in my iPad but only showing up as 200mb even though the packaging clearly states 6GB at 500mb per month. anyone else getting this... will give them a call tomorrow but thought I'd ask here in the interim

ok so it's £15 for 12 months, which d1** put it as 14.99 per month?

Title of deal needs redoing or OP repost. It's a total price of £14.99 for the YEAR = £1.25pm for 500mb of data.

I would say for a tablet that is just used for browsing when on mobile data that's a fantastic deal, especially where with EE you are in control of adding more data.

Great deal, have some heat, can anyone beat 500mb of data for £1.25pm... I doubt it!

i'm using a three data freedom sim (200mb a month free ) for monitoring purposes, but if i need a bit more than this offer would be good.

Quick question, I'm considering buying A GPS tracking device, would this be enough data does anyone know?

Would have thought so - looking at post 6 it would seem to agree. At least it is only £15 to find out. If the three signal is good, there was a post for a 12GB 12 month sim for just over £20 - that would give substantial headroom. Don't forget with that (but not this), the biggest strength for some, weakness for others is that you can use 12GB in one month, 2GB a month for 6 months, etc. - for some that is a comfort, for others (perhaps giving it to a kid), it is a fear. With this (going on the info here), it is 500MB in a month, then wait for the new month or top up (which personally is not best for a tracker).

Think I'll stick with the three 12GB but have some heat it's not a bad offer. Just be nice if you have a point about the posting it's doesn't make anyone look clever.

Think you would be hard pressed to find a cheaper deal for what is a usable amount of data for a lot of people. Great for ipads/tablets where they are used primarily for browsing and emails.

That's the problem I think. People just vote as if it was X Factor. £14.99 for a year seems good. Especially if WiFi is found all over the place.

Same with me put it in my phone and it's showing 200me as well. Let us know what EE say.

    Cheers

Phoned EE and they categorically said its not a 6gb preloaded sim. I've returned it to Argos and asked them to get in touch with EE and also order me another one.what is suspicious though is if you look carefully the the 500mb sticker has been put over a standard universal sim sticker. Now whether EE have cocked up and not loaded the correct details in their database or someone has scammed Argos. Let's see what happens. Clueless manager was arguing that the sim hadn't even been used as it was still intact on the card. Had to show him that there's no need to break the whole tab if it's the smaller sim that's needed...doh!!!!!!!

Mine was the same - I have since returned it to argos for a refund.

I did take a photo off the sim balance and a photo of a review I have found on the Argos website stating that this was a 200 mb a month sim. I showed this to the assistant in Argos and was given a refund - no worries.

Picked up the replacement sim they ordered for me and that works fine.

Has anyone else had a problem with these SIMs? I bought two for my kids to use in old mobile phones, just for Pokemon Go and we can't get the mobile data to work at all? It works fine as a phone though - which is bizarre as it's supposed to be a mobile SIM.??? Any help greatly appreciated.

Well, I hope everyone had better luck than I did with this!

I purchased this SIM on August 30th as a backup whilst visiting London in case I used up my phone data (which I didn't in the end). So I only just got round to trying to activate it at the weekend.

I registered the number on the EE website, but was unable to activate it properly and when I used the internet browser on my phone whilst connected to the MiFi device (Huawei E5776), I got redirected to a top up page where it stated:
    Your Account: 4GEE WiFi PAYG
    Your Number: 07*********
    Top Up Balance: £0.00

Below that there was various options to top up ranging from:
    1-30 Days, with 100MB-10GB of data for between £2.00 - £30.00

So where is my included 500MB? I'm forked if I know!

I phoned the EE CS and got through to aa agent in India who was trying to say that Argos must've sold me the wrong SIM as he was unable to activate it with the 500MB per month for 12 months. He said that tarrif was not available for that particular SIM.

I wonder if some dodgy unscrupulous customer has previously purchased it and returned it with a different SIM card in the package? Just my cynical mind at work again.

The Indian CS agent did activate the SIM with 2GB for 30 days as a GOGW while I try and sort this out with Argos in store.

Problem is that the store I purchased the SIM card from is 300 miles away and the receipt is long gone, so I may have a bit of a battle on my hands with Argos.

Already spoke to the clueless Argos CS who didn't have the foggiest as to what I was even talking about. One of girl's solutions was to just buy another SIM. I gave up with her in the end.

Oh dear. I'm sorry if I have lead people astray. It looked like a good deal on paper. I did wonder why only argos had it? I guess the heat rating is actually rather accurate...

IRONICALLY, despite allllll the flath!, Argos are STILL selling this SIM Package.

But this time, for TWICE THE MONEY!!! (at £29.99!!). :-(

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
