At A Glance
The Epiphone Casino Worn Olive Drab is a true star of rock 'n' roll. This best selling archtop design from Epiphone has seen fans since the '60s in the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Keith Richards and The Beatles. This version keeps many of the classic design elements but also does enough to make sure it'll go the distance for anyone picking up this model for the first time. With a thin 5-ply maple hollow body and a pair of P-90 pickups it is one of the most distinctive sounding guitars out there!

Features We Love:

Epiphone PRO P-90 Pickups
A pair of Dogear P-90 pickups do that wonderful thing that only P-90 pickups can do! You get that special sound with the bite that cuts through live and in a mix extremely well.

Graph Tech NuBone Nut: While the Casino might be a classic design, Epiphone certainly hasn't left it in the past! The inclusion of this nut keeps it up to date for the contemporary player without losing out on its classic appeal.

Diamond Trapeze Tailpiece: One very distinctive feature on a visual level is the Diamond Trapeze Tailpiece. Working in conjunction with the LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, it provides great string stability and definitely brings forth a unique and wonderful distinction to the sound.

Who Is It For?
If you've ever thought about owning a semi-hollow archtop guitar then this offers some of the best features around within this price bracket.

Highlights:
  • A classic design favoured by many pros
  • Distinctive sound from the body and pickups
  • Especially good for blues and rock styles

That’s a lovely guitar. Shame I’m still incompetent and my wildcat sits in its case.

Lovely. If I didn’t already have my Gretsch hollow body I would be all over this

As an Epiphone Casino owner, they are one the best guitars I've played. Lightweight, lovely tone.. sounds great through an AC30 with just enough overdrive.

I've got a 2006 built casino and it's one of my favourites. I don't think I have anything in my collection that is as nice to just strum chords with. There's a vibe with a Casino that even my other ES guitars don't capture.

The neck is probably a little small for some but as you say light as a feather and sounds great both plugged in and unplugged (although obviously louder than a normal electric if practicing unplugged at home and you need to be considerate of others).

Also worth emphasisng these are 'full' hollow body as opposed to your typical 335 style 'semi' hollowbody which means they are so much more lightweight and practical to use but that does come at the cost of them being a lot less practical to use on stage due to their sensitivity to feedback.

Price dosn't seem too bad either as, at least when I bought mine new, they carried a premium over a regular 335 from Epi and I think they retailed at about £280-300 back in the late 2000's. If I had to guess it'd be anywhere up to £360 I paid for mine.

Edit: Found the invoice, paid more for one of these in 2007 than you can pick this deal up for. Take that inflation. HOT! (edited)

i have one of these when they were on offer at 385. its a really nice guitar, but expect to be a little un-nerved by the finish, seems like untreated wood. good thing or a bad thing i dont know. the quality is great, and plays really well
