I have this (sans chime) and I'm pleased with it, though definitely not getting 6 months of life, more like 2, but it's no huge bother to me.

One point of note - the homebase 2 has a chime built in that is very responsive and loud enough for me, so the additional chime may not add any value unless you really need it.

Hi can I ask where you bought it from? I have been checking their website regularly but it always says 'notify me'

I prefer the hardwired version which is what I have. My neighbour has this one. The only trade off is no homebase and local storage on the bell itself, but that being said there's no faffing around with taking the bell off to charge it and so on. Also I doubt that you'd get bang on 6 months battery usage out of this. I'd half that and say 3 months before it would have to be recharged.

I'm tired of using Ring, keep having problems, and also the subscriptions.

Do you need to take the whole doorbell off to charge, when it our of juices?

No wired doorbell option on this?

I changed from batterry powered ring to wired only, and it's miles better.

You can also hardwire the battery version of this for constant charge. I've only had my transformer waiting 1.5 years to be fitted though

I have this without the chime as the base is loud enough. Although the doorbell is wireless it can be hardwired to an adapter to keep it constantly charging, this is what I've done.
