For further details, please see Delivery & Returns. This Forest Garden Kimbrey Log Cabin is a deceptively large cabin that also features a separate storage space which is perfect for lawn mowers, garden furniture or BBQ equipment. Manufactured from kiln dried 44mm smooth-planed interlocking tongue and groove logs which provides superior strength and stability. The Kimbrey log cabin features double glazed toughened safety glass with fully opening double doors combined with one tilt and turn side window which allows plenty of light and air to circulate through the cabin. There are also two double glazed non-opening windows at the front of the cabin. The floor is constructed from 19mm tongue and groove boards, while the roof is constructed from 19mm tongue and groove boards covered in poly felt with underlay. Felt is wear resistant, cuts with a clean edge and acts as a thermal and sound insulator. Felt can also be exposed to the elements and maintain its physical properties as it wears. Pressure treated floor joists support the cabin to prevent base damp and rotting. Adjustable hinges allow you to adjust your door vertically and horizontally, ideal for timber products that have a tendency to have doors that bind due to settling or swelling. The Kimbrey is supplied unpainted and untreated, giving you the choice of colour and type of treatment for the building. The smooth planed finish of this cabin gives a truly premium look. A mortise locking system is provided for security. We recommend that the log cabin is built upon a firm and level surface such as as a poured concrete base.Features:

sorted by- Personally I would go for the one in your link. Slightly stronger build and comes with shingles for free unlike roofing felt only on Costco. They both use spruce which is ok for its price, it's a pretty dense and strong softwood and if treated correctly shouldn't really rot and warp. Not sure exactly on Costco but tuin state full treatment required so will add delays to build and little more hassle as it's best doing all individually unlike some that just give it a coat afterwards.
- been thinking of getting an insulated garden office. i assume getting something like this an insulating is more hassle than just buying a pre-insulated one. anyone got any recommendations? much appreciated.Depends on your skills. In mine there were upright struts every 60cm so insulation fitted in perfectly. Then just drywall over attaching to struts. Depends how professional you want it to look. An insulated proper office will cost at least double this. I paid £150 to have power put in and did the rest myself. Although that was 7 years ago now. And I treated/painted after erection and it’s not needed anything since.
- I bought my Lantera 350 Log cabin from Dunster House a few years back and paid extra for the insulated roof and floor.
It depends on whether you feel upto adding something yourself, or prefer to go prepackaged (quicker but more costly).
Personally I couldn't be bothered with the extra hassle so paid up and I'm thankful I did.thanks, i was looking at dunster house actually. how does it hold up in the summer / winter in terms of temperatures? thanks - Perfect if Mrs kicks me out, takes my house and kids away and all my life savings, least have somewhere to sleep
- Anyone have any recommendations for composite garden rooms/cabins?
- Non treadedor installed!
