About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
You can snap up 100GB of free storage (including NAS) with Zoolz (100,000 can get the deal in total – about 30,456 spots remain last check). Though it's 'cold storage' designed for long-term backups, you'll have to wait up to five hours to access your data. For most people it should be no problem waiting a couple of hours for their files.
Zoolz is less well known than other firms, but it's been operating for six years and has more than four million customers as well as high-profile business clients. It has decent feedback on Google reviews and specialist site Cloudwards.
Zoolz's backend services are provided by Amazon Web Services, and it uses industry-standard 'AES-256' encryption. They make use of Amazon Cold Storage system “Glacier” which allows them to archive files at a very low cost.

Dropbox, gdrive and onedrive are cloud drives and shouldn't be treated as backup solution. They still have risk of malware attacks. Imagine being a victim of a ransomware, files could be encrypted and will usually be automatically sync'd up to the cloud drives. Usually they don't provide delta version, but only a recovery on deleted files for up to 30 days. Zoolz is a backup storage like CrashPlan, Carbonite, etc. ie. a second copy of your files. They keep deleted files for much longer period of time (or indefinitely) as well as file versioning.
(Didn't need one ordered one anyway!)
I'll get my coat
I've witnessed tech support guys go insane due to peoples stupidity, one guy was escorted out the building because he almost put his fist through the monitor by punching it multiple times. I had some classics myself, from people thinking the DVD Drive was a cup holder to someone saying that 'I had possessed and was inside their computer' because I knew where to go on her system. So they must look through all you stuff too.
On the client 'dashboard' the orange button bottom right is how you enter the 'restore' dialogue. It also shows all the folders files you have backed up (then you pick which ones you want to restore). You have to drill down through directories: Cold Storage>C:>Foldername1 ... etc. As you go, there are checkboxes to include/exclude each folder/file in your restore operation.

"Zoolz does not delete files from the backup, even if you have deleted them from your machine. In the case you have deleted file(s) from your machine, you will find your file(s) still available under your Zoolz backup"
from wiki.zoolz.com/wha…it/

What sort of upload speed are people getting? My ISP's up speed is 1Mb/s, my network meter is showing that I am upping at 100Kb/s; the zools dashbard is reporting 250Kb/s, but it has taken two and a half days to upload 800MB, which I work out is 37Kb/s. At this rate it is going to take 260 days to fill my 100 GB of storage!!

there's a checkbox at the bottom of the first Restore screen that says Show/Restore deleted files. Have you got that checked? I guess you need to!
It's a lot of storage, but the restrictions are inconvenient.

That’s because they use Amazon Glacier engine which allows them to archive files at a very low cost and you can see the pricing here aws.amazon.com/gla…ng/
Cheap storage or speedy restores. For most people it should be no problem waiting a couple of hours for their files.
The cost for Amazon Glacier is absorbed by Zoolz, I'm merely showing how cheap this is. There is no charge for us for using this service.

Hurry! Only this many accounts remain:30040
Thanks.
Still, client is good and feature rich, offering seems great. Just under 30k signups left. Worthwhile, have some heat, I'm sure I can use this for my backup for a lifetime for important docs and some pics and so on. Thank you very much ....
edit: 2.5 hours later, too many files, still going strong:

Either implies they're mutually exclusive; they're not. ;-)
3.5GB / 1600 files uploaded and at least the same again to go.
Anyone know the purpose of the "No-Zoolz Zone" Folder which appeared during set-up?
It's currently devoid of any content so It can't be intended to hold the items for uploading. oO
Excerp From Glacier FAQs :
Q: How much does it cost to retrieve data from Amazon Glacier?
There are three ways to retrieve data from Glacier and each has a different per-GB retrieval fee and per-archive request fee (i.e. requesting one archive counts as one request). Expedited retrievals cost $0.03 per GB and $0.01 per request. Standard retrievals cost $0.01 per GB and $0.05 per 1,000 requests. Bulk retrievals cost $0.0025 per GB and $0.025 per 1,000 requests.
For example, using Expedited retrievals, if you requested 10 archives with a size of 1 GB each, the cost would be 10 x $0.03 +10 x $0.01 = $0.40.
If you were using Standard retrievals to retrieve 500 archives that were 1 GB each, the cost would be 500GB x $0.01 + 500 x $0.05/1,000 = $5.025
Lastly, using Bulk retrievals, if you were to retrieve 500 archives that are 1 GB each, the cost would be 500GB x $0.0025 + 500 x $0.025/1,000 = $1.2625.
