sorted byAnyone interested in this kind of thing should look at calisthenics, there are Youtubers out there who will give you better info than whatever this crappy app says.
Through lockdown I changed diet and did calisthenics/HIIT for a year. Got down to ~12% body fat and felt like a teenager again. But lost so much fat from my face people I knew thought I was sick :/ And although functionally I was very fit, with proportional muscle distribution, again people said I was too skinny.
Last year been doing resistance training with a PT. Built more muscle and people think I look healthier. But I’m not in that fight/flight, perfect hormonal balance zone from before. Maybe a good cut will get me back there, but no point until I’ve built more muscle.
As training apps go, this one is pretty good. No, you won't look like any of the progress pics without doing some serious weight training, but in terms of improving physical fitness and general body strength, this works well.
If you ignore the pics, it's a great place to start a fitness journey.
If you want muscle though, you need heavy resistance, especially as you grow older. (edited)
