It's also served hotter than the sun. I wanted to drink it now; not in 30 minutes.
I'm sure it wouldn't come to that, lol. Well, the whole point of this is so they can ask your name and be more personable. So I would expect your coffee preference to be taken care of too, as that s personal thing, also.
I pass 2 on my way out tomorrow on my 30 minute walk, one at the start and one at the end. Shall try my luck and go for a second. It should make the first few hours of the day go quicker, or speed my bowels up, at least.
Nero is my fav brand and they have to most no-tricks loyalty programme: you get a stamp for every drink you buy and once you collect 9 you grab a free drink of your choice. No personal data, no registration etc. and 2 shots as a standard (you have to ask for one shot if you prefer a weaker coffee).

The service ones nearly never honour the offers in the main stores. Try your luck though!
What, this.... starbucks.co.uk/ ???
Our new TV ad will be hitting your screens on Tuesday 13th March. But you can enjoy a preview today at starbucks.co.uk. And if you pop in and introduce yourself before noon on Wednesday 14th March, we’ll buy you a Tall Latte. (It's a great excuse to get together with friends, so be sure to tell yours.)
Costa don't do a double shot anymore in their smallest size (whatever it's called) coffees!!
At least not in edinburgh :-((

Heat for the freebie though, will be good before my steak later

That's what I'm going to have. Why wouldn't they let you have one?
i dont know as not been to ask lol... but i will give them sh** if they dont let me...
I'd disagree with Starbucks video saying it's the "FASTEST WAY TO PAY"...
Except that it doesn't. First there's the caffeine thing Starbucks was too weak, yes, but Costa is too strong for a healthy life.
But more seriously, the Costa loyalty programme stinks - most branches are franchisees who take great joy in declining the special offers, and giving you no points; I've only found one Starbucks who couldn't read my card - but they still honoured the special offer.
It does take a couple of weeks to get used to the Starbucks blends - but well worth it for good service, good value, and a significantly reduced risk of heart disease
Plus Starbucks staff are friendly - Costa staff look like they just discovered they were on a Tesco employment scheme.
See you all on Wednesday am!

It all depends on the barista tbh - Personally I don't like most of Costa's coffees - the coffee itself is just "OK" but they usually make their lattes or any other "specialty" coffee fat too milky.
Starbucks is generally a lot lot better, again depending on the Barista and how good they are. I prefer the taste of the actual coffee though.
Nero is my favourite of the big 3 chains though - 99% of the time it's flawless, and also the nicest atmosphere to sit in and drink.
Each to their own though! Thanks for the freebie I'll try my luck tomorrow morning
