sorted byJust had a lovely breakfast and the kids had there breakfast free.
Asked about the cream tea for two and they tried fob me off with ham sandwiches. I said I would like what was advertised and I did not mind waiting. The lady was very good and sorted it out. I must say it looks very nice for £10. Could not get any fresher.
Just like any other picture of food.
The sophisticated kind
What kind of animal puts jam on second??
They never have the stuff available for it anyway
Just as a comparison, you can get afternoon tea for two in Marco Pierre Whites Leicester Square for £15 (edited)
I paid £5.60 for just the scone/cream/jam and a cup of tea in M&S. (edited)
Shame on you, delete the HUKD app this instant!
To be fair I’ve had a couple of these delivered in the past and yes - the stuff in the image did more or less match what I received.
Likewise,l have ordered as a takeaway on previous occasions and had as a picnic , sometimes the cakes are different ones but always the same amount and value.
EDIT - forget my question , just noticed the £12 regular deal on the picture of a menu (although I can't see all the detail).
Heat from me, OP! (edited)
First one was lovely.
2nd one was awful - sandwiches looked like they'd been made a few days before (ham was hard, and stale bread). Scones overcooked, and cakes too sweet.
Threw most of it in the compost bin.
They did give me a full refund, but it spoilt the day.
I won't be buying any more
Can you have the Cream Tea anytime of the day?
Had one in Dover when they were £10 before and in fairness it was very nice, what can you expect for £5 each these days.
Was just thinking that! Haha (edited)
Same, really was the worst breakfast, experience we've ever had
It can do if you put all the cream and jam on the scone. The sandwiches are just one slice of bread halved though. This is more a treat than even a snack but it's tasty and pleasant.
I know . It was £4.75 a few weeks ago and that was with a pot of tea (edited)
This happened to me also.I was flabbergasted.
Had a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast at Tesco, Inverness Eastfield and their waffles with bacon and maple syrup were also delicious. Unfortunately it's 100 miles away so just a holiday treat. My nearest Tesco is 17 miles in either direction, but neither of those have a cafe.
£25 for two tomorrow

HA HA - I have a similar experience in both Morrisons and Wetherspoons - They have the Eggs come in frozen and they put them in the microwave - If you have the fried egg, you know that it is fresh - But I do understand what you say and it can be frustrating.
My other half has the Avocado and Poached Eggs, which she enjoys, in fact she had one this morning - The quantity and Quality does make a difference depending on the store, strange as you would think it would be standard all over?
That's not very nice is it?
Neither is my local morrison's cafe. Its definitely affirmative action of some kind.
Neither is the food
