Just had a lovely breakfast and the kids had there breakfast free.
Asked about the cream tea for two and they tried fob me off with ham sandwiches. I said I would like what was advertised and I did not mind waiting. The lady was very good and sorted it out. I must say it looks very nice for £10. Could not get any fresher.

To be fair I’ve had a couple of these delivered in the past and yes - the stuff in the image did more or less match what I received.

Likewise,l have ordered as a takeaway on previous occasions and had as a picnic , sometimes the cakes are different ones but always the same amount and value.

I take back what I said earlier. Went for the half price breakfast today, one English and one Scottish, and it was quite good. Couldn't see it advertised in store so had to ask. The assistant couldn't have been more helpful, both when taking the order and delivering it to our table. Spotted a poster later in a less than prominent place in the store.

I normally don't generalise but consistently morrison's cafe staff are definitely the lowest rungs of the employment tree, not sure if it is the job itself or some kind of specific hiring tactics but again CONSISTENTLY they all appear to have suffered head wounds. This thing will only be able to order using the morrison's website for future pick-up in a few days, I had the same issue at mother's day, thought I'd just walk into the cafe and get it but it wasn't even meant to be eaten in the cafe. Was a take home plastic tray thing that the salad bar people make up to order two days in advance.

Is £10 the price per person? Can't see where it says it's for 2 people (unless I'm going blind in my old age! )
EDIT - forget my question , just noticed the £12 regular deal on the picture of a menu (although I can't see all the detail).
    Heat from me, OP! (edited)

We've tried 2 of these. First one was just after lockdown, and one was Mothering Sunday, this year.
    First one was lovely.
2nd one was awful - sandwiches looked like they'd been made a few days before (ham was hard, and stale bread). Scones overcooked, and cakes too sweet.
Threw most of it in the compost bin.
They did give me a full refund, but it spoilt the day.
I won't be buying any more

Our 2 local ones only do breakfasts and a few other select things. No jackets, pies, fish and chips

It can do if you put all the cream and jam on the scone. The sandwiches are just one slice of bread halved though. This is more a treat than even a snack but it's tasty and pleasant.

I wanted to order avocado and poached egg on toast at Morrisons and was informed " We haven't got poached eggs, only fried eggs" this got me thinking do they actually purchase pre poached eggs, and if not how can they fry an egg but not poach one, and as its in the middle of a supermarket they'd only need to walk a few yards to get some eggs, overall a very odd experience (edited)

This happened to me also.I was flabbergasted.

I asked for a poached egg instead of fried and was charged 80p for it as an "extra". Their breakfast seems to be pre-cooked and dried out.

Had a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast at Tesco, Inverness Eastfield and their waffles with bacon and maple syrup were also delicious. Unfortunately it's 100 miles away so just a holiday treat. My nearest Tesco is 17 miles in either direction, but neither of those have a cafe.

Not a prayer. My Mrs would liken being taken to Morrisons for afternoon tea to me buying her flowers from an Esso garage.

HA HA - I have a similar experience in both Morrisons and Wetherspoons - They have the Eggs come in frozen and they put them in the microwave - If you have the fried egg, you know that it is fresh - But I do understand what you say and it can be frustrating.
My other half has the Avocado and Poached Eggs, which she enjoys, in fact she had one this morning - The quantity and Quality does make a difference depending on the store, strange as you would think it would be standard all over?

Stopped taking orders in all 4 Leicester stores due to Jubilee obviously that’s most likely when we want it so you think they’d be prepared
