28/10/2015 Amazon.it have dropped the price down to just under 73 Euros, so with delivery it's about £60 at the moment. If you were thinking of treating yourself (or someone else) for Christmas, now looks like the time to buy.

07/10/2015 I've updated the price to £71, reflecting current euro price in Italy and exchange rate of approximately 1.35 to the pound. It's still miles cheaper than the lowest price Amazon UK seller, and a family of four should easily recoup the outlay after a few skipped Dominos take-outs.

19/08/2015 Amazon Italy have dropped the price down to EUR78.99 recently, so with delivery it's now about £63.

This is a deal for the true pizza lovers out there who have been struggling to perfect their home baked pizzas from scratch. I've been making pizzas at home for several years and have always suspected that my oven simply doesn't get hot enough to do a proper job, even after pre-heating with pizza stones in the oven for a good hour.

I've been aware of the G3 Ferrari Delizia Pizza Express for a couple of years, but it's always been around £90-100 from Amazon UK, or more from other UK suppliers. Given that it's just a two element grill with a stone on the bottom, I could never bring myself to pay that much for it, even though the reviews are overwhelmingly good. Well, I've had it for a week now, and I can promise you that it is the real deal. Crispy on the bottom with a puffed-up light and airy crust and juicy melted toppings, grilled to perfection.

I make my dough in the morning with cold water and leave it in the fridge all day, taking it out to split into 220g balls at room temperature about an hour before stretching into shape. I use the Lehmann pizza dough calculator for my ratios here pizzamaking.com/dou…tml. I also bought two large £8 wooden peels from Amazon UK, one for making and sliding on, with another for taking off. This way you can produce continuously, one after the other. There is a knack to using the G3 whereby you need to make sure the stone is not too hot and the top grill is red hot throughout cooking. There's plenty of discussion on this in the Amazon reviews. I use an infrared thermometer the check the stone is not hotter than 250c to prevent burning.

Now that the exchange rate between the pound and the Euro is in our favour for imports again, this Italian manufactured appliance has dropped in price to the extent that it cost me only £67 to buy it from Amazon.fr including shipping. Pay in Euros and let your bank do the conversion instead of Amazon's rip-off rate. It doesn't matter if you order from France, Spain, or Italy. it'll be sent from Italy anyway. Just go for the cheapest 'sold and dispatched by Amazon' price.

If you're serious about making pizza, buy this thing now - you won't regret it.

UPDATE
Loads of HUKDers have bought these now and had them delivered. Check through the thread to see the kind of results they've been getting - real Neapolitan style pizzas at home!

Fitting a UK plug with the earth cable connected seems to 'upset' some people's contact breakers, so best to use a converter for visitors to the UK - available at Poundland, or don't connect the earth if you feel safe doing it.

The dough is even better if you make it well in advance. Prove it in the fridge for 24hrs and take it out to let it warm up for a couple of hours before stretching.

The top grill element needs to be glowing red hot all the way through cooking, if you don't like the crust too dark, whip some aluminium foil underneath part way through so the top can catch up without burning the bottom.

26/08/2015 UPDATE on using CAPUTO '00' FLOUR
Quite a few HUKDers have been getting hold of Caputo 00 flour, the genuine pizza flour from Naples. This flour appears to be considerably less absorbent than very strong bread flour, so you need less water in the mix. If using the pizza dough calculator, start off with a 55% hydration rate and adjust up/down to get the dough rolling around the mixer nicely and coming away from the sides.

Best Authentic pizza flour called Caputo 00 tipo & San Marzano d.o.p Tomatoes can be bought from Ebay seller called
England-2013
item number 262448035899

many of us have been using them for awhile now and there great on these g3 ferrari Plus they offer the flour in smaller quantities

    - I'm going to have to remove HUKD from my bookmarks. Ten minutes ago I was content in my world with no need whatsoever for a pizza cooker. I didn't even know they existed TBH, and now I've got one on its way from Genoa, or somewhere.

    Er, thanks OP.

wow your like minded like me !!! i love pizza so much i was sat there thinking many years ago the same thing why doesn't my pizza dough rise and get crispy and puffy like the real deal i must of attempted 50+ times in my oven i later realized the same thing our UK oven cannot reach them temperature of a pizza oven you find in italy and pizza shops. so i went and bought a pizza stone it helped a little but my pizza were still a fail i started to question my flour and dough recipe so after weeks of researching online i knew i needed to try tipo 00 flour which we dont have in UK so i just typed on google best pizza in the world and guess what came up? Da'Michelle in Naples because i love pizza and heard so many Hollywood actors have been there so i booked my flight, hotel and had to experience it and the results was AMAZING! real pizza was something i have never tasted in uk or usa
in italy a proper pizza consists of D.O.P San Marzano tomatoes, Tipo grade 00 flour , Buffalo mozzarella & D.O.P Parmazan cheese and basili went into there local supermarkets in naples and bought san marzano tomato the tipo 00 flour and dop paramzan got home and tried it and it raised better but not quiet but the flavour was there
since then i gave up though because i knew i need a powerful oven and wanted to build a pizza oven in the garden. 2 years has passed and still not done anything and now i see this post and my passion to perfect pizza has come i know nothing will beat a pizza clay oven but if i can get half way thats acceptable
thank you so much for there share and advice

i look forward to trying it
p.s sorry for the essay and grammar

2 for 6 quid is a waste of money, totally. Buy some value bread for 40p value Ketchup for 55p, a big bag of value mozerella for 47p and you can have 30 Cheese on toast with ketchup which is basically the same thing. For further savings in electricity you can eat it cold.

My temperature setting knob won't turn down to 'off' when the machine is hot. I'm usually running it somewhere between 2-2.5 anyway so it isn't an issue for me. When I've finished I turn it off at the socket.

Had a house-full today. Five garlic breads and 12 pizzas, phew! The last ones were getting a wee bit dark on the bottom.

Okay, with two large pizzas at most take away outlets being £20, this pays for itself after eight pizzas. The pizzas I can turn out with this are miles better than Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc. and you know exactly what is on them.

You're wasting your time with this stuff, check out the pizza pilgrims frying pans pizzas

Basically, put your dough in a hot, lightly oiled frying pan, and then add the tomatao, basil and cheese
    2. When the base is golden brown after a few minutes, move the pizza in the pan under the grill (which you pre-heated)

We had curry for dinner tonight instead of pizza because we already made pizza on Wednesday. Tried making naan bread from the Madhur Jaffrey recipe. I covered them in oil to rise and stretched them in the oil without any flour. They work better if the dough is stretched out fairly thin. Used a metal cooking slice to free them from the stone. Set the temperature dial to 3 oO They turned out really well. Crispy on the bottom, nicely puffed on top with a soft, chewy centre.25778405-afx80

Finally used my machine today and it blew us away!!
It was just like the one we had in Naples Italy

I used tipo00 flour, olive oil, Buffalo mozzarella , parmesan, italian tomatoes ,fresh basil & dough that has been proofed for 22 hours in fridge and 2 hours outside fridge
i used pizza pilgrims recipe 850g 00 flour, 500ml water ,fresh yeast about 1" or 72g dried active yeast, 25g salt

Here's my technique for using the G3 and it worked perfectly
1.set the machine on 2 1/2 until stone is 310 degrees (i used that laser temp gun from amazon thanks op )
    2. put foil on stone to prevent it getting to hot
    3. added toppings to my stretched out dough
    4. checked temp again, it went up slighty to 330
    5. removed foil & put pizza on stone
    6. closed lid and put it up to number 3 full power (make sure the light is on)
    7. cook for about 2 mins
    8. tuned it around cooked further for another 1 min then slid the foil under pizza to prevent bottom getting too charred
    9.cook further 1 min
    Done

It was beautifully chard bottom & crust yet spongy and stringy inside absolutely yummy
    i want another one!!!

I will wait till tomorrow because i still have another dough ball left so that one will be 48 proofed in fridge plus i will be modding mine with foil lining on roof and may have a look at that temp switch to prevent thermo cutting off to early so we can obtain 400 degress

I make pizza every week and am currently using a pizza stone in a fan oven. While its good, its not quite like you would get in a restaurant. Without being able to get a pizza oven in the garden this could be an alternative. No Pizza originated from Italy, but is available and enjoyed throughout … No Pizza originated from Italy, but is available and enjoyed throughout many parts of the world. Dude is an americanised word and can stay there.

It's not an "americanised word", it is a shortening of the word doodle, as in the song "Yankee doodle", a slang word for ****, as opposed to the mindless sketch. "Dude" was the vogue word of 1883 among British expats living in America, and of course "Yankee Doodle" being a song sung by the British during the Revolutionary war, it seems that the evidence points towards this being a word coined by British as an insult to the colonials. I think you are getting confused by the popularity of the word among counter culture surf types, who strove to distance themselves from generation x by embracing a new slang, as every generation has, and naturally with the power of Hollywood in the late 80's and early 90's, those not of that culture heard the word exclusively with an American accent.

It may be a word from America, but it is as British as can be. Also, yes, when you call someone "Dude" you are calling them a dick.
