sorted byNo, you'll need one that supports a foot pod or has a built in accelerometer. I use my FR610 with a foot pod and it works well, also means I can record cadence and don't lose stats if the GPS loses signal.
5 weeks in watch mode, 5 hours in training mode.
You forgot the most important one - iPhone 6 to update your running status for all your friends and family every 5 minutes.
I guarantee the large ones will look more ridiculous on me. Small is good for watches IMHO.
EDIT: Just arrived. Size is perfect. I don't think any GPS watch can be described as small.

Me too. What's the best deal for one with Ant+ HR connectivity?
The Garmin forerunner 15 (with HRM functionality) has also dropped in price on Amazon today.
It seems not.

The pink one is smaller than the black and red so its probably worth checking out the sizes before buying.
My garmin 110 died on me a few weeks ago and was going to buy the forerunner 10 this week but 5 hours battery life is no good for me as I do longer distance triathlons/runs.
I have the Garmin 15 because of the better battery life (8hrs of training time as opposed to 5hrs) but for the price, if this fits your bill then it's a great deal.
Check out DC Rainmaker for loads of in-depth reviews about sport watches in general particularly Garmin
If you're thinking about one with HRM compatability I'd go for this, not as pretty as the forerunners but cheaper and way more functionality (cycling and swimming etc).
I got mine flubitted for around £112
Probably the Forerunner 310XT - it's a fair bit larger (and older tech), but comes with the HR kit and also supports the (optional) footpod. I've got one and it works well, I've been very pleased with it.
Nice review.
My missus does a mix of outdoor walking and gym treadmill walking. She'd like to combine the stats of both activities into one record.
Her phone and non-GPS walking gadget can estimate her walking pace & distance based on motion alone, so at least gives some idea of treadmill activity.
So can this Garmin double up for treadmill use - has it also got a motion detector?
No use on a treadmill.
Thanks, I'll pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've since upgraded to the 620 but this got me into running, helped me improve and kept me motivated.
I did my first ever marathon with one, and that took me 5 hrs 15. Was giving low battery warnings at that stage but it was still up and running.
Put it on a windowsill while you're getting ready. In most cases it's locked on by the time you're ready to leave.
I do this with my Forerunner 110 so it's not just this device that can take time to lock onto satellites, you just have to be a bit more prepared.
I'd sooner trust Techradar or T3 reviews (previews) - and they reckon it's the best Android Wear watch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
