My 645 music broke last week so I ordered this as a replacement. So far so good, some features the 645 doesn't have while missing some that the 645 does, but nothing I particularly used.

Felt a bit plastic at first (bezel) but I think overall it's a nicer look and I'm used to it already.

Does this watch have the run/walk feature? With the Fenix it´s under Alerts.
    Thanks

I have this watch (FR 245M) and can confirm it does have the run/walk feature. I just checked and it's available in the alert settings for the Run activity.

Insanely dreadful UI, use of buttons, and onscreen visuals. Clearly not one person of high skill worked on any significant software aspect of the device- which certainly boosts confidence in its hardware features- not. How brands like this build market share is beyond me- a guess for a narrow set of users they'll forgive any rubbish design issues if certain functionality is there.

A very insightful but somewhat useless comment, all very negative with no working examples with context. If in your humble opinion this watch is so bad what alternative would you suggest please? (edited)

Always said this is pound for pound the best Garmin watch. This price just made it even better!

Damn thanks OP wanted one of these for ages!

Great watch, still getting updates / finds satellites quickly, only had a couple of occasions when I had to wait over 30 seconds. Had mine for 3 years now and battery isn't quite as good, but still getting 5-7 days between charges.

Good price for a still excellent running watch

Not had a Garmin for 15 years, might be a good time to get a new one.
what are the best sports watches around this price range?
plus does it work ok on treadmills too?

Can you swim in this wil it track lengths
    dannyscun's avatar
Yeah you can, you just have to set the length of the pool before you start and it tracks. It's not 100% accurate but it's a running watch. Still does the job

Brilliant watch, picked mine up a year or two ago in that Amazon £8 misprice. Use it every day and have used it for countless events.

    This or the Coros PACE2
  13. sl8a88's avatar
I've had this watch for a couple of years, and it is absolutely brilliant! I'm a regular long distance runner and would highly recommend My only bug bear is it doesn't have any sort of pay functionality
    Evouk's avatar
I'll agree with you on the points made. Wasn't to worried about the pay feature and the breadcrumb mapping did help to a extent. Moved onto a Fenix now but it's a great runners watch.

    This or 735xt?
    Evouk's avatar
If you just want a running watch then the 245 will be fine. If you're into triathlons then the 735 would be a better choice, but it's pretty old now (released in 2016). (edited)

    I can't see this price.
    Evouk's avatar
You need to scroll down the page to other sellers. It's still available at that price.
