sorted byI picked up Watch Dogs Legion and the season pass. Played it at launch on 1 month of Ubi+ and it's far from bad, definitely worth £13.50, although I do think it's the weakest Watch Dogs game cos the "play as anyone" gimmick just means your team has zero actual characters.
I'm finding this to be the best value way of playing Ubisoft games at the moment. If you're excited about a release, pick up Ubi+ for a month at launch and play it till you get bored of it, which usually happens with new Ubisoft games within a month. Then when they give it a massive discount within the year, pick it up at that price if you feel like dipping back in.
Yes, it's once per transaction but use it as many times as you want. I bought Watch Dogs Legion for £6.50 in one order, then the Season Pass for £7 in another order.
Worst Far Cry ever for me. I know they get some bad press but I generally enjoy them and see them through to the end, but this one isn't gripping me. I think I might have large map fatigue, it's so huge but it just feels like I'll be doing the exact same stuff all over it for a hundred hours.
It's been delisted, probably due to licensed music on the soundtrack, they tend to save money by only licensing it for sale for a certain number of years, then they don't want to pay for the licenses again when the game isn't selling many copies anymore. You can still buy the game key from various websites, but they're charging £40+ for it these days as it's hard to get. (edited)
Picked up The Crew 2 to see how it plays using a racing wheel. God knows how your gonna fly planes with a wheel
Good luck with that. Its notoriously difficult to get. The only way to get it really is from 3rd party resellers and they’re charging crazy amounts for it. I don’t even think you can get it illegally easily. I considered maybe trying it on a ps3 emulator but apparently it doesn’t run great. I’ve got an actual ps3 though so might just get a disc copy for it.
Not been available to purchase on PC for a very long time and was only on uPlay store for a short period.
If you want PC version then... Hint: dodi (edited)
many thanks OP. (edited)
I loved Wildlands, infinitly better than it's successor. (edited)
Also, assuming you can stack items to meet the £15 threshold, you can get AC Origins for £7.50 and then effectively the Season Pass for free(£10.20). (edited)
Definitely with you on this. Ubisoft somehow sucked the fun out of open world games by making them chores.
If I'm gonna play an open world game these days it'll be by Sony, as they seem to have the sweet spot for length and grind, and actually have worthwhile stories.
I actually enjoyed Halo Infinite's campaign. The story was full on American hero cringe fest nonsense that I had to mute at every cutscene. The actual sandbox and mission gameplay was so much fun though. A bit tiresome towards the end capturing all the bases etc, but that was my own fault for spamming the air vehicles in the 2nd half of the game.
As a side note, paid full price for Tsushima and Valhalla on PS5 when it was launched, and both contributed to me selling the PS5. Hoping God of War Ragnarok keeps its tight pacing and more confined world from the first game. Will eventually play Forbidden West but the reaction from people who've played it seems underwhelming to say the least. Definitely open world fatigue.
If I'm gonna play an open world game these days it's between Destiny 2 and WoW/FF14. (edited)
Yes it is (edited)
I believe you can only use it on PC, happy to be proven wrong though
Aye yes it is - grabbed Wildlands Gold and Anno 1800. (edited)
Looks like it, I used it yesterday so just went on to try and it applies it fine. (Didnt check out though, was just tresting)
Oh great thanks for that
Not gonna lie, I've had open world fatigue since mid 2010s. But not any open world, just this type of pointless copy pasted content. I really enjoyed Breath of the Wild and a few others that have done something different with it, but in some games you can just tell what you're going to be doing for the next 100 hours from the first 10 minutes. Simply painful. (edited)
There are still steam gifts avilabile but very expensive, some uplay keys don't work anymore and also expensive for a old game, starting price is 40£ on grey maket key sellers, keep in mind most where deactivate by ubisoft some years back. (edited)
Not as bad as the reviews made out to be (or my taste is really, really poor).
Breath of the Wild took me back to my childhood when GTA 3 was announced. It's the first game I've felt like I was a child again playing it, the sense of discovery and actually playing something different. It's a brilliant game all round and the only negativity from people was due to its lack of hand holding and no instant gratification like Fortnite culture expects in games now. (edited)
