Batteries are nice and good if they are charged – some bigger batteries require up to one hour to be fully charged. Meanwhile capacitors get charged in a matter of seconds – they are always ready. However, they release their power in seconds too and can only be used to properly finish and save files.
Capacitors are also safer. They do not have mixtures of highly flammable liquids and pretty much cannot explode. Meanwhile batteries are quite dangerous in certain conditions, such as traffic accidents. Finally, capacitors are much more reliable. They can cycle for hundreds of thousands of times, while batteries will go bad after several hundreds of charging/discharging cycles. Alfawise G70 has a capacitor and manufacturer mentions it as one of the biggest advantages.
