This boxset features all 61 episodes from the first four series, originally shown between 1978 and 1981.

• Series 1 includes the famous swimming lesson episode, the saga of Benny's football boots, the arrival of Michael Doyle and Justin Bennett's fall at a disused warehouse.
• Series 2, Mr Llewelyn takes over as headmaster and the foundation of the Students' Action Group sees a canteen demo and protests over school uniform.
• Series 3 sees Grange Hill targeted by bike thieves, and Doyle's on the school council. There's romance in the staffroom between Mooney and Sutcliffe.
• Series 4, new headmistress Mrs McClusky has to deal with a spate of vandalism in the school. Mr Baxter takes the third years on an eventful school trip to France.
