I went for holidays in UK about 4,5 times until i decided is not worth it. The weathe, hospitality are very poor. The nature is very boring unless you like fields...Save your money and go abroad

Nature is boring, where are you holidaying

In Norfolk we've got Otters, Beavers (in one place), Red Kites, Buzzards, go to the right places potentially White Tailed sea eagle, Osprey.

Seals and pups at the coast. Britain and certainly Norfolk is way more interesting than just fields for sure. Look at Yorkshire, Peak district, lake District etc

Hospitality is hit and miss I'll grant you but plenty of places are friendly and welcoming.

Yes weather is a gamble but it's not a guarantee in say the Canaries either we've had a week of cloud there before.

A £50 holiday and you're saying save your money and go abroad? Are you having a laugh? (edited)

Hah, it's a caravan, that's what you get? it's not for some but we just had a lovely weekend in Weymouth basking in the sun for £49 which we'd not have afforded to do otherwise. Both days we left at 9am and didn't get back until the little lad's 6pm bath and bed time.

Stayed at seashore site four times only around a mile and half to Yarmouth main seafront. Nice trip down on the land train if you don't want to walk. There's actually more stuff to do out of season in Yarmouth than in it. Well that was my finding the times I've been but that was the back end of August beginning of September. You can't go wrong at that price imo. A holiday is better than staying at home and they are what you make them.

Absolutely agreed...they are what you make of them!

Hence the price, can't wait till summer 24 when our last child finishes secondary and we're all free of school holidays

I am looking for a dog friendly place for a week in April. But the crazy part is that I want to commute to work every night. Maybe 2 hours by train to London. Has anyone done that? I am self employed and I don't want to lose a week's wages.
If you know any seaside caravan places please let me know.
    Thanks (edited)

It won’t be this cheap, but there are caravan sites in Hastings that would be commutable? I stayed in one up on the cliffside and LOVED it.

We went here in October not much to do around the area but we enjoyed the stay in caravan

Great Yarmouth's chips on the market are the best in the world. Worth it for that alone!

Pity the rest of the area is the worst in the world.

They should do something about that photo. It looks like the huts in a WW2 POW camp. (edited)
