They will last for a couple of years at least

I have some of these that are out of date from a previous offer. As long as the inside of the tin is okay they are safe to eat. The flavour may deteriorate over time though.
Food banks won't take out of date stock so might bung them a few of these.

    Are you sure?
Might be getting confused with use by dates, which apply to fresh meat, fish, dairy, and ready meals etc..
Food past the bbe date CAN be legally sold, redistributed, and donated to food banks

Excellent value but I wouldn't stock up for the winter as these have best before date of end of October 2023 in both my local stores. I'm sure they'll be fine for some time after that but are not really suitable as a long term investment.

You could eat canned soup years after the best before date and wouldnt be able to tell it was out of date. (edited)

Initially thought this price was a typo as other soups have been reduced to £1.50.

I used to buy a lot of Heinz soups but I've had soup maker for about 3 years and use that on a regular basis so I hadn't really clocked the price of a tin until I had to buy some for my elderly father, 4 tin pack of chicken soup in Tesco £4, 1 tin of vegetable soup £1.75 I couldn't believe a tin of soup could cost £1.75.
50p is a bargain and yes there fine out date but seeing as there short dates likely means people are not buying them at £1.75, I wouldn't, there's a range of fresh soups at £1.75

I have around ~£75k invested in Unilever shares - I recommend that you should buy Heinz products, this will help out a small shareholder like me who is retiring soon therefore I need that passive income.

    £1:70 for a can of soup 🤦‍♀️

    Bargain
Cheaper than Aldi, who have jumped on the "Increase the price of everything" Bandwagon

Just picked up a dozen tins from Sainsbury's Dunstable (dated September 23, but not bothered) may well look to pick up a few more, if my local (Chesham) store has em.

Currently priced at the "norm" (for Heinz soups @ Sainsbury's) of £1.70, MOST Heinz soups are offered @ the Nectar price of £1.50, so part of me thought the 50p Nectar price was a glitch, so I went through self service, just ter be on the safe side.

    At 12 x £1.70, my shop went from £20.40 to £6.
