sorted byIt was a big controversy and the head of PS has said they all will going forward as they had said it would be free upgrade originally.
You can’t, you’ll have to wait until release day.
I would not be surprised to see geo location verification starting to be implemented at some point.
Personally I'd probably say constant promotion on a per game or sale basis on sites like this will only make that reality sooner rather than later unfortunately.
The wise play if anyone wants this to last as long as possible, would be keep it on a if you know you know basis, instead of promoting on mass variants of the product to the method, which ultimately brings in more eyes, and not necessarily ones that are wanted. (edited)
It’s ridiculously easy to do, not worth hating.
Yeah, went with the basic PS4 version, bought on the PS4. The PS5 is still boxed up ready for Christmas Day, it's not *technically* mine until my son is asleep
It really isn't that hard to do, you just need a good guide to follow and to follow it properly, took me about 15 mins to get it all set up (excluding the time I had to wait for the virtual visa to be approved)
The amount of times I’ve clicked on a deal to see a different region lol
Literally have a spreadsheet to keep track coz I have so many, not just regional but for trophy and 100% accounts
It appears you get charged slightly more than I would expect it to be. It’s confusing when you look back at your previous transactions as the conversation rate appears to show the current rate rather than what you paid at the time. The email confirmation seems to be the best way to keep track of what you’ve actually been charged. Still good prices overall
You cannot purchase the PS4 version via the PS5 console, if that’s what you mean.
While I agree with you (I don't think all the 'hoop jumping' is for me), there is no denying that for a lot of people who have it set up, its worth it.
Link below to the blog post where Sony confirmed the free upgrade for anyone unsure on pulling the trigger.

I can't say for certain, but I doubt you'll be able to buy the PS4 version on a PS5, and the PS5 version likely won't confer a downgrade to the PS4 version. I'd be inclined to buy the (slightly cheaper) PS4 version on your PS4, then install that on the PS5 (with the free upgrade) when it comes out.

I managed to fudge this through eg for the PS4 version via the PS iOS app but using CryptoPay
I think you misunderstood my comment, this is a great deal and I bought it. I doubt very much it'll be any cheaper than this before release, or for quite some time after release for that matter. My hesitance was with the more general concept of pre-sales and buying something before it's finished, released and reviewed, but the low price convinced me in this instance (and the quality of it's predecessor). Nah I get that. Just not a fan of having to show a copy of some form of I.D etc. Plus I'm mainly a physical copy guy. Especially the exclusives. Each to their own.
That's what I thought until I fell in. Longest part was waiting for virtual visa on crypto. Com. This is half the price at launch incredible deal imo. I say more!
I had this earlier with the Crypto.com card, was certain I had loaded up enough funds, turns out there wasn’t enough on the card and it was throwing the card expired error.
Yeap, you are right it was a bit more than i expected even after transfering a bit more.
I guess it's part of lira's fluctuation.
I’ve only set up Crypto.com. I’m not too bothered though, still half price. As long as I play the game straight away unlike with zero dawn where by the time I finally started it about a month later it was available for free!
Don’t really think so, there’s only 2 real steps to this. Create the Turkish psn account and create a crypto pay account. There are a fair few deals that make you jump through hoops ( like how people would create new Amazon accounts for free vouchers and stuff or go through the process of getting a Very credit account for a first time buyers discount). I’m quite keen on getting this game so I’m happy to see a discount whenever it pops up
IMO it's more than worth the effort as the price difference is substantial compared to the UK store. It probably won't last forever, but until then I'll gorge on cheap AF deals.
Heat added Joey
Yes as long as you keep the disc forever.
Heres a easy set up guide for payment
Ahh no worries, if only it changed a day later and the new PS sale deals you posted would've been even cheaper - might still pull the trigger anyways!
