Hi Jungleboy123, and anyone else who might like a quick math's refresher, this might help your future calculator use:

Enter total cost, for this example it's 16.15

Press divide button (this one ÷)

Enter number of items, for this example it's 40

Press the equal button (this one =)

You'll get this figure for this deal: 0.40375, which is the cost per item in pence

This example means 40.375p each or roughly 40p each because only the first two RIGHT-HAND SIDE digits count for rough amounts (40.5 or more would have been rounded UP to 41p etc)

Here are a few more examples:

If the number the calculator gave started on the LEFT-HAND side BEFORE the decimal point, it would be giving the item in pounds AND pence.

For example if it came out as 2.678 it would mean £2.678.

    This means roughly £2.68.

The final right-hand side digit is rounded UP because it is more than 5.

You can ignore right-hand digits after the last 2 if they are UNDER 5, e.g. 2.674 is roughly £2.67.

If the number you got started before the decimal point, but also had lots of numbers AFTER:

Just go for ALL the numbers BEFORE the decimal point, and ONLY the first two after it.

For example: 10.4334 would mean roughly £10.43 each. Or 3.1443 would mean roughly £3.14 each.

You can see that neither example needed any rounding-up because those extra right-hand side digits are all under 5.

Hope that helps you for future calculations. Gets easier with a little practice

Great to see prices are getting back to what they used to be on something at least.

Indomie noodles are very nice. They have 3 or 4 flavour/ oil/ sauce sachets per pack. If I hadn't recently received a box of 40 indomie noodles, I'd be over this like a rash.
