and can only buy 1 from lego per address, keep cancelling my orders for a 2nd even on accounts with different postal addresses, they monitor historical account interaction (edited)

For £136 I would want it pre built.
    dbobs's avatar
Say no more, I'll come build it for free
  3. geordie9809's avatar
I bought two of these at launch, one for me and my dad.

Need to buy a third so I can display all 3 version (once I pinch my dads). I've got this lenticular display on the way:

Well it finally arrived. I never trust Zavvi till it’s in my hands. So once again, thanks OP

    Replying to

    I did.

This set is quite disappointing. It's clearly aimed at adults but has so many off colour pieces to help you build that are clearly visible when completed. I worked out it would cost c£30 to replace them to make the model "displayable" on a stand.
  6. lazzzxyx's avatar
Quidco doing 3% cash back so would be a net 12% off
    _sion's avatar
Quidco often refuse cashback if you use additional discount codes

Beware, don't try and take up their 'bundle offer' with a BTTF t-shirt because then the ambassador voucher will no longer apply. Apparently Zavvi only accept one code and customer services can't override this poor design.
  8. aw3suml3wy's avatar
Zavvi are a horrible company to deal with, they refused to refund me £50 when they ran out of stock.
    C0mm0d0re_K1d's avatar
Unfortunately a lot of companies have very poor customer services these days.

I don't know what your exact circumstance is with zavvi. But, if you order or pre order any item from a company. And that company, don't or can't supply it.

Then you should get your full money back. Irrespective as they have broken your contract to purchase as they have failed to supply. (edited)

Why am I buying Lego now the zavvi delivery/despatch drama to endure
    Mastermaster's avatar
You should be fine, all my recent Lego purchases from zavvi over £100 have come well boxed and RM 48 hours (edited)

Sooooo tempting. But I think I'm going to wait for a price drop.
    Nippy44's avatar
At some point Costco will get this and sell at £115 to £120.

I remember the good old days when lego was for children

    Royhid's avatar
It's the same children building Lego today, albeit a tad older :-)
  14. computerrobot's avatar
I bought this for £25 next year.
  15. BarnSt0rmer's avatar
I used to have a Lego Technic "Test Car" when I was a kid (I've still got it actually). I changed it so the wheels folded under like the DeLorean, using pneumatic Lego pistons and compressor from another Technic set. Seeing this official set brought it all back to me.

  16. Scopy's avatar
    Well that's £136 I wasn't expecting to spend today
Whather I can actually fit it on a shelf is another matter entirely!
    cheaperbythe12's avatar
If its an IKEA floating shelf, let me know please . I have 3 builds still unopened so might leave this for now. Looks great tho
  17. Fire_Wizzard's avatar
Anyone know if this one is worth investing in?
    dumplingwrestler's avatar
You could always use the Delorean to check.
  18. legodealsmad's avatar
Please note I provided this code a few months ago and it often only takes a few ££s off. So nice to see it taking a good chunk off.
  19. dognobs's avatar
I really don't know what I think about this kit?
    Dryrain's avatar
I think the set is decent enough find the price hard to justify as with a lot of lego sets they put a premium on nostalgia
  20. jouster's avatar
Well I’ve finally had a dispatch notice from Zavvi. Let’s be honest though, until it’s in my hands I never trust anything Zavvi say

Just chatted to Zavvi and they said they have a delay at the warehouse and its expected to be sent over next 2-3 working days?
    fireman1's avatar
I did find it strange that lego have no stock yet zavvi took loads of orders.
I think delay at warehouse means none at warehouse.
Should have expected no less with zavvi.
  34. JohnSmoggy's avatar
Dispatch confirmation this morning should be here Friday.
  35. Tetlee's avatar
Also had a dispatch so here's hoping.
