    It's not the latest ryzen, it's basically a rebranded r5 5600u

It's somewhat confusing how and why AMD market these the way they do. Even though in terms of model number they are the latest gen of processors, quite a few of them are still Gen3 and Gen3+, but with slightly higher clock speeds. It's still superb performance for the money though, if you can see through the somewhat confusing marketing.

Just to note you can get a 10% discount off first order when signing up to their newsletter for those who don't have blue light etc (edited)

Anyone knows how good the display is? And how bright it looks in daylight?

I just got mine yesterday. The display is excellent. There's no clouding or back light bleeding etc and the screen isn't too glossy. The brightness seems fine to me although probably not so much in direct sunlight.

    Does this have thunderbolt?
Can't seem to see it on the description

Unlikely as it's Ryzen. For laptops they usually have to be Intel based as Thunderbolt was created by Intel.

Decent price. Shame it's a plastic body though.

Yeah but a metal equivalent is probably twice the price, so have to bear the cost in mind. (edited)

    This is let down by:
    proprietary charger
    no PD usb-c
    slow usb 3 throughout

Do you mean it can't charge via the USB-C port? Yes it can. I have the laptop. The pin charger that came with it is still in the box. You can use basically any USB-C charger with it. If you mean USB-C PD for charging other devices, well it fast charges my Samsung Galaxy phone, so should fast charge most phones.

Both USB-A ports are 3.2 Gen 1 - 5 Gbps ports, which I certainly wouldn't call slow. I guess if you're looking for high speed 10 Gbps ports then this one isn't going to be suitable. It's more than fast enough for what I use it for at least.
