I'm sorry, but apart from the screen size (good for some people, such as my mother, I certainly hate 17 inch laptops), I see nothing good here. Saying this, I'm not sure there are many options of a reasonable laptop at this price. I strongly believe is worth paying £50 extra for this below, if 17 inch is not a must:

Edit - £179 with Unidays (mentioned by medicgaming123) is a decent price IMO. (edited)

Well I'm perfectly happy with my Asus E410MA - that's a Celeron N4020 with 4GB non-upgradeable RAM, and a 128GB SSD I fitted myself to replace the 64GB eMMC it came with. Yes, it's not a fast machine, but I usually only have one or two browser tabs, Outlook and RDP client open - I know my needs are modest and that this is sufficient for them, as would be the Lenovo.

Slower than a Lada. Better looking, mind.

Graphics aren’t half bad and much better than vega 2 on even the ryzen 5 7520u. UHD G4 48GU, beats uhd G1 on the i5-1035G1

If the ram is upgradeable then I don’t see too much of a problem, but you’ll probably find a more compelling machine second hand. Students get an extra 10% off with UNiDAYS on this. £179 in the end.

Decided to give it a shot (for my mum lol) and it’s not half bad. Screen is TN but it’s easier on the eyes, and it gets pretty bright to be honest. Celeron 6305 is comparable to a 5th generation i3, so pretty unimpressive if you’re looking to do anything more than YouTube/work/Netflix etc. UHD G4 is a huge upgrade over most contemporary i3 and even older i7’s but the cpu is a massive bottleneck so whilst gaming benchmarks suggest G4 to be decent for older titles like rocket league/csgo, because of the huge cpu limitations, it’s going to result in massive stuttering and unbearable frame rates.
Keyboard is excellent and easy to get into typing rhythm, trackpad will suffice and clicks just fine, albeit it’s a tad loose.
Speakers are terrible and Dolby is just a marketing gimmick lol. Charges quite quickly with the 65W adapter, provided you enable “Rapid charge” in Lenovo vantage.
Battery life isn’t great, not sure who at Lenovo though a 38Wh battery would suffice on a 17.3 inch laptop, but ok.
Ram is NOT expandable, which is pretty poor, and for most entry laptops in general. The laptop runs into ram issues very quickly…upon boot the laptop is already using 2.9/4GB, leaving you with a GB. I don’t understand why all these laptops have their ram soldered, whether it’s a cost issue or something I don’t know. But the fact I’m already running into slow downs as a result of ram limitations is unsettling from a long term perspective.

Paid £179 and it’s do able for sure, gets office work done just fine, YouTube runs well because of the decent integrated graphics (48EUs). Don’t expect much more.

    3/5 Good.
