You'll want more memory and whilst you've got it open you'll probably want to put in an additional SSD. But the screen and build quality on these are exceptional. I can understand the concern over buying an RTX3000 series GPU, but for the same build quality with a newer GPU you will be paying significantly more. (edited)

I’ve been looking around for a decent vfm home laptop. I own pc, Xbox plugged to tv, so it will be a spare device allowing kids to do homework/me to watch movies/play some games while they occupy tv (if I want to do it in a same room with them). Is it a good choice sub 800? (edited)

It's £739.99 with code. U can't get any better value for money at the moment but RAM needs to be upgraded to 16GB. You can check the review of this laptop:

I own an acer nitro and I think the build quality is dreadful and feels so cheap, it’s also stopped charging and I’ve barely used it. But that’s just my experience

Pretty sure their RAM is soldered

This is an excellent deal as that 2k 165hz screen is beautiful. It’s usually 1080p laptops at this price so if you are on the lookout snap this up at this price it’s a bargain.

    Jase87's avatar
They don’t even ship to the Scottish highlands so you’ve no chance for Ireland,
