Could someone tell me how good this laptop will be for simple gaming? Looking for something to play Baldurs Gate 3 on initially. Thanks in advance!

I have a lenovo legion with a 3060 and 5800h which I used for the past few years. Most games at 1080p and if you don't max out the settings will be absolutely fine.
Apart from abomantions with how optimised they are like Starfield you should be fine!
Cyberpunk runs well for example. I did upgrade to an Alienware of all things cos of this site...with a 4080 and a 7845hx and 64 gigs of ram and 4tb nvme hard drive for 1700 quid. I'm keeping the one with the 3060 though cos it's decent. Sorry for rambling, just got off a 16 hour night shift!

can u get a better gpu for this price? im torn because there was that hp victus £650 with 4060.

now this has a better screen, cooling? more wattage allowed to the gpu? but honestly id probably get the 4060 for £650 and use external monitor, proper gaming happens at 24inches anyway, and u would have what is it 50 + 300, 350 for a monitor

i think with this, you get what u pay for, but id rather pay less, well i know my bank account would (edited)

I got a HP victus, that's a funny looking square thing too. I know these types of machines aren't built for looks, but my eye is permanently drawn to the 'functional' looking hinge down by the inch or so wide bottom bezel.

Have the last case version of this and interesting to see the addition of a 1tb than 512 which is essential and interesting to see a 330w charger compared to the 240 the last need. So just be aware of the weight and after a few years of use you might need a new battery

May be a silly question. If you keep it plugged in when in us does it wear the battery?
