The price is good for the spec, despite the Very glitch price (?), these retailers are completely different - Very probably has worst customer service in the UK and dirty tricks to make you pay interest on credit while Costco has some of the best customer service. At £840 it’s good value.

Warranty is 2 years at Costco, not 1 year, my bad.

That was a glitch, which they eventually honored to some. The price was supposed to be £1029 which they immediately corrected to after some hours. Now it's £1399 at Very (which is a bit far streched anyway).

I can't access that link because I do not have to app (too intrusive in permissions), but I can assume it's the Very link from a month ago or so which I'm very familiar with because I was keeping a close eye on it while it was live. That was a glitch I believe because it was only for a few hours for £700+ and after that they changed the price to £1000+ when it was sold out. Now it's £1400. £800+ makes sense for a laptop with this premium build. £700 does not. Very are known for several glitches in the past which they do honor unlike Currys and others.

Anyone have any idea how this compares to a macbook pro with m1 pro chip for productivity? (music production, DJing) cheers.
The macbook is double the price of this by the way, as is to be expected. (edited)

The Macbook is better than this for what you want.
