Sets off self-destruct mode. If you accidentally press it, get as far away from the laptop as you can

My son has had one of these for the last few years and it’s been bulletproof. Still performs well. Great laptops.

Bought from the same seller last month, same price.

Machine came in perfect condition. Nvme hard disk, not ssd. Couldn't be happier.

Performance wise these are spot on still. Runs flawlessly for my work software and light gaming.

I should also add, came with a finger print scanner and a back-lit keyboard.

I don't know why this has gone so hot. I posted a Dell latitude with 16gb 256GB for £179. It got voted freezing!

these have gone for about 180 before

frankly still too much for a 6 year old laptop

I'd be inclined to agree with you. However, there's a Chromebook on site with only 4gb ram and a celeron CPU for £125 which people have voted hot. By that rationale, this has got to be worth £100 more, right?

These are absolute tanks to be fair. Designed to be upgraded by the consumer. Easily a better purchase than any Chromebook.

For general browsing & email stuff you better off with CB as you'll be able to get around 8 hours from the battery.

It looks like a little thumbstick nub, as a navigation alternative to the touchpad or an external mouse

Had one of these as my work laptop for over 5 years. Only criticism (apart from my employer not upgrading me to something newer, is that it has a dim screen.

Some people on Reddit said you can replace it with a 4K OLED panel.

To those that have bought this before, did it come with the second battery? Any indicator or screen type on this deal? TN , IPS?

If you are not a gamer, I'd suggest you to install Fedora instead.

I use my 8 year old think pad every single day
many of my family members have bought cheap laptops and chrome book and all of theirs have died
but my thinkpad still keeps on rolling along its been pretty much all the way around the world with me, been dropped and kicked
and now its old and slow but it just keeps working the value of these is huge especially if you just want something to browse the internet write emails ,chat they simply are amazing
the keyboard on these is something you can use and not just for show
if I could find someone who could put a IPS panel on mine cheap I would do it in heart beat
but when mine dies I will be buying another one
