IF you are happy with the VA panel I think the price is pretty awesome. Even if you consider the extra £15 you might need to pay if you're not a member.

So the price isn't bad, but VA is really really really bad for gaming. A lot of the complaints TAA gets for 'image quality' comes from VA gamers. And a lot of VA users will be too naive to understand how VA is ruining their gaming experience.

VA is for 30FPS TV content. The physics of VA cannot handle pixel changes above 60FPS, and at even 60FPS the slowness of VA is ruinous. But simply, when the image moves laterally, it SMEARS. Some detail disappears, most just blurs- badly.

I don't get why so many people like VA, motion blur/Black smearing at high Hz is awful with all but the very high end Samsung VA panels (like the G9).

IPS has it's own issues, like glow (varies screen to screen) and contrast ratios not being 'amazing', but when it comes to gaming, motion handling is much more important.
Colour reproduction is usually far better on IPS too, at least when compared to cheaper VA panels.

This is still a decent price for what it is, just not my cup of tea. (edited)
